1746, Sarah Merrill, born 1719, ba. tized May 24, 1719, died<br />
Nov. 16, 1785, aged 67, daugliter <strong>of</strong> Lieut. Isaac and Sarah<br />
(Cooke) Merrill. He married 2d, <strong>the</strong> widow Lydia Seymour,<br />
born July 22, 1729, daughter <strong>of</strong> Lieut. Jacob and Mary<br />
(Sedgwick) Kellogg. She married Dec. 1, 1748, Capt. Tim-<br />
othy Seymour <strong>of</strong> West Hartford, who died in 1784. After<br />
<strong>the</strong> death <strong>of</strong> Mat<strong>the</strong>w <strong>Clark</strong>, she married 3d, in September,<br />
1803, Capt. Archibald McNeil <strong>of</strong> Litchfield, who died Jan. 31,<br />
1813, aged 76, son <strong>of</strong> Cai)t. Archibald and Sarah McNeil,<br />
concei'ning whom see Sketches and Chronicles <strong>of</strong> tlie Town<br />
<strong>of</strong> Litchfield, by P K. Kilbourne, pp. 80 and 251. Lydia<br />
joined <strong>the</strong> church in Litchfield in 1804, and died in tliat<br />
town Nov. 6, 1810, aged 81. Mat<strong>the</strong>w <strong>Clark</strong> died Nov. 1,<br />
1792, aged 73, and is buried by <strong>the</strong> side <strong>of</strong> his first wife in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Old Cemetery <strong>of</strong> <strong>Farmington</strong>. His will, dated Aug. 2,<br />
1790, names his wife Lydia, nephews Mervin <strong>Clark</strong> and Dan<br />
<strong>Clark</strong>, his friend James Merrill, Mat<strong>the</strong>w, son <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> above-<br />
mentioned Dan <strong>Clark</strong>, and his nephew lleman Smith <strong>of</strong><br />
Winchester.<br />
