d. Oct. 20, 1768. He married 2d, Lydia (Collins <strong>of</strong><br />

Kensington, Jan. 16, 1771, who died April 23, 1777,<br />

He died Oct. 27, 1776, aged 74 {gravestone).<br />

X. Abigail, b. Feb. 26, 1705 ; d. Nov. 8, 1707.<br />

xi. <strong>John</strong>, b. April 6, 1708; ra. Aug. 11, 1729, Eunice<br />

Wiard, born Jan. 15, 1712, daughter <strong>of</strong> <strong>John</strong>, Jr., and<br />

Phebe (Hurlbut) Wiard. She died May 7, 1761, and<br />

he m. 2d, Abigail (Ives. See Timlotv^s Southington,<br />

cclxi.) She died Feb. 26, 1805, aged 92. <strong>John</strong> d.<br />

Oct. 17, 1794.<br />

HUNTINGTON.<br />

Mary^ {<strong>John</strong>') b. about 1667. By <strong>the</strong> distribution <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

estate <strong>of</strong> Sergeant <strong>John</strong>-' <strong>Clark</strong> on <strong>the</strong> 9th <strong>of</strong> April, 1712, it<br />

appears that his sister Mary was <strong>the</strong> wife <strong>of</strong> " Samuel Hunt-<br />

ington <strong>of</strong> Lebanon." Now <strong>the</strong> only Samuel Huntington <strong>of</strong> a<br />

suitable age in Lebanon at this time seems to have been<br />

Lieut. Samuel, who, moreover, is said in <strong>the</strong> Huntington<br />

Memoir, page 74, to have been born in Norwich, March 1,<br />

1665, and to have married a Mary <strong>Clark</strong>, Oct. 29, 1686.<br />

Sarah, a sister <strong>of</strong> Mary'^ <strong>Clark</strong>, married Thomas Root and<br />

moved to Lebanon about <strong>the</strong> same time with Samuel Hunt<br />

ington. These two men were among <strong>the</strong> fifty-one original<br />

proprietors <strong>of</strong> Lebanon, as appears in Hoadley's<br />

edition ot<br />

<strong>Conn</strong>. Colonial Records, iv, 514. The following extract is<br />

from <strong>the</strong> Huntington Memoir :<br />
