an older date <strong>of</strong> matters thought <strong>of</strong> sufficient importance to<br />

be " transcribed out <strong>of</strong> y ould book," but no lists <strong>of</strong> town<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficers.<br />

His house stood on High Street, as will appear by a con-<br />

sideration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> following extracts from <strong>the</strong> land <strong>record</strong>s <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> town :<br />
