HOMOGENEOUS<br />
• For light soiling wipe the walls with a damp cloth, using a neutral cleanser<br />
diluted to the manufacturer’s instructions.<br />
• For heavy cleaning, use an alkaline cleanser diluted to the manufacturer’s<br />
instructions. For stubborn marks use a deck scrubber, scrubbing brush or<br />
doodle bug. Wipe the walls with a damp cloth, using clean water and a small<br />
amount of neutralising agent such as acetic acid.<br />
• Under most circumstances, the wall will not require a sealer coat of polish.<br />
If, however, it is felt necessary to either provide a protective finish or<br />
minimise maintenance, a matt finish metallised polish should be applied.<br />
• Using a damp cloth the polish should be applied to a previously cleaned<br />
surface, as described in the previous section, in an even coat.<br />
Do not over-apply, to avoid runs in the polish.<br />
• The frequency is dependent upon the rate of soiling.<br />
• If lightly soiled wipe the walls with a damp cloth, using a neutral cleanser<br />
diluted to the manufacturer’s instructions.<br />
• If heavily soiled, especially with grease, wipe the walls with a damp cloth,<br />
using an alkaline cleanser diluted to the manufacturer’s instructions.<br />
Afterwards rinse the walls, using clean warm water and a small amount of<br />
neutralising agent such as acetic acid.<br />
• Should the dressing have to be removed a polish stripper, diluted to the<br />
manufacturer’s instructions, should be applied to a small section at a<br />
time, using a wet cloth. The stripping solution should be left on the wall for<br />
almost 10 minutes and the surface should then be agitated using a deck<br />
scrubber, scrubbing brush, or doodle bug which has been pre-wetted in the<br />
solution.<br />
• Once complete, the walls should be rinsed using a damp cloth and warm<br />
water and a small amount of neutralising agent such as acetic acid.<br />
• Once the whole room has been stripped, a new coat of polish can be<br />
applied as described above.<br />
• DO NOT USE STRONG KITCHEN DEGREASERS ON VINYL SURFACES.<br />
• Always follow the Health and Safety guidance provided.<br />
