Activity Fuels<br />

Fuels resulting from or altered by mechanical treatments, such as timber harvest<br />

or thinning, as opposed to naturally created fuels.<br />

Age Class<br />

Groups of trees approximately the same age.<br />

Allotment<br />

A designated area of land available for livestock grazing upon which a specified<br />

number and kind of livestock may be grazed under a range allotment management<br />

plan. It is the basic land unit used to facilitate management of the range resource<br />

on National Forest lands.<br />

Area of Potential Effects<br />

The geographic area or areas within which an undertaking may cause changes in<br />

the character or use of historic properties, if any such properties exist.<br />
