VERMEER CAPTURES CLUB CAR-
TAYLORMADE/ADIDAS/ASHWORTH PRO-3AM
LINCOLN, Neb- Ryan Vermeer of Oak Hills Country Club
scorches the field on the hot and humid day at the Club Car –
TaylorMade/adidas/Ashworth Pro-3AM at Firethorn Golf Club
on Monday. Vermeer posted a three under-par 68 which was
good for a two shot win over Nick Wanderscheid of Green Valley
Golf Course and his sixth tournament win of the 2012 season.
Vermeer and Wanderscheid finished first and second in the Assistants
division as well.
The team division was a very close race but the team lead by Bill Jacobsen of Pacific Springs Golf Course and
amateur partners Mark Healy, Pete Maschka and Philip Maschka carded a 15 under-par 92 and a one shot lead
in the two net on the front nine and one net on the back nine format.
Joe Madsen, PGA of Bent Tree Golf Club won the Senior division after an even-par 71 which was good
enough for a four shot win over Steve Diehm, PGA of The Golf Club at Table Creek. Madsen’s round featured
four birdies including one on the challenging par-3 13th hole.
