What was your motivation to become a PGA Professional?
To make my passion my life work.
What is your specialty in the golf business?
Diversity in the business including golf course design and development
as well as inventor of golf products; Tour player and certified PGA Tour
instructor.
Please list any accomplishments (Awards, Certifications, and
Tournaments.)
Nebraska PGA Professional of the Year Award; Horton Smith Award
winner; Section Champion; Small Business of the Year Award winner
in Nebraska; participated in PGA Championships and U.S. Open
Championship.
What was your greatest moment in golf?
Both my father and brother were in the gallery when I won the New
Mexico Junior Golf Championship.
What or who has had the greatest impact on your career?
Naomi, my wife always encouraged me to keep on pursuing my
dreams at all costs. Dick McGuire, PGA professional and golf coach at
the University of New Mexico who gave me the opportunity to attend
college through a golf scholarship.

Besides golf, what else do you enjoy?
Since I am on the road 20-25 weeks a year, I enjoy my time at home
with family and friends.
If you could play any golf course in the world, which one would
it be and who would complete your foursome?
Pebble Beach with my father (deceased), my brother and my wife.
If you could give lessons to anyone in the world who would it
be and what advice would you give?
Juniors. Think outside the box! Experiment with your golf swing and
with your golf equipment and with all aspects of golf. Do not be afraid
to be different! Make “practice” fun and GOLF fun.
What is your favorite golf instruction tip?
Swinging a broom handle – no thought about “hitting” anything, just
swinging.
