Chad McMahon, PGA
College/University: University of Nebraska, Omaha
Year Turned Pro: 2000
Facility and Job Title: Tiburon Golf Club,
Head Golf Professional
What was your motivation to become a PGA Professional?
I love the game and enjoy being at a place that most everyone wants
to be.
What is your specialty in the golf business?
Tournaments! We do quite a few Corporate events. I like to say we are
the best in the Midwest!
Please list any accomplishments (Awards, Certifications, and
Tournaments.)
I am on the Board of Directors for the non-profit “Angels Among Us,”
and Class A Pro as of January 2010.
What was your greatest moment in golf?
When I got a hole-in-one on Great White 3 in a Match Play event.
What or who has had the greatest impact on your career?
Our owner Bob Hill. He purchased Tiburon in 2004, the year I
graduated. Had he not bought it, I don’t think I would have stayed in
the business. Awesome to work for!
Besides golf, what else do you enjoy?
Spending time with my family. I have 3 daughters under the age of
four. That’s right – 3 daughters. They keep me busy.

If you could play any golf course in the world, which one would
it be and who would complete your foursome?
Everyone says this, but it would be Pebble Beach. My group would be
John Daly, Tiger Woods and Rickie Fowler. Rickie because I want to
see what he wears.
If you could give lessons to anyone in the world who would it
be and what advice would you give?
Charles Barkley. I couldn’t do anything that could possibly hurt. No
pressure!
What is your favorite golf instruction tip?
Slow down! Quick swings are very common.
