What was your motivation to become a PGA Professional?
My love of the game and a desire to help others enjoy the game.
What is your specialty in the golf business?
Specifically the business part of golf. Becoming certified in General
Management, Executive Management and Ownership and Leasing
expanded my knowledge in the business part of golf so that I feel I am
one of the true experts in the business of golf.

Horton Smith Award, Nebraska Section of the PGA, 1991 Apprentice
Professional of the Year, Nebraska Section, 1989.
What was your greatest moment in golf?
Playing golf at Pebble Beach with my father who was my true
motivator for the love of the game.
What or who has had the greatest impact on your career?
Many people have impacted it but the earliest impact was by the Head
Professional at Hillcrest Country Club William "Bunny" Richards where I
worked in high school.
Besides golf, what else do you enjoy?
Traveling with my wife Amy and my son Rayce.

If you could play any golf course in the world, which one would
it be and who would complete your foursome?
Augusta National Golf Club, Bobby Jones, Francis Ouimet and my
father Robert.
If you could give lessons to anyone in the world who would it
be and what advice would you give?
VJ Singh - After watching him at the PGA Championship in 2009 at
Hazeltine there is no doubt in my mind that I could help him with his
putting issues.
What is your favorite golf instruction tip?
To get a student who has trouble putting to putt with their eyes closed
after setting up. This allows them to feel what is happening in their
stroke without the distraction of watching the stroke.
