Hart area is full of numerous parks. Explore,
and find exactly what you are looking for!
SILVER LAKE STATE pARK
Located across from the dunes, this park is all about
location. Facilities include 450 camping sites, a
large beach area for swimming, a boat launch, picnic area, fishing, hiking, and
restroom facilities. A day pass is needed to use this beach area and can be
purchased at the campground entrance. The campground entrance is located
½ mile south of the round-about.
SILVER LAKE STATE pARK ORV AREA
The only dunes east of Utah that you can drive on! The Silver Lake Sand Dunes
are open every day from April 1, thru October 31. Operated by the Michigan
DNR, the dunes encompass nearly 2000 acres of rolling sand hills, roughly 1/3
of which is open to personal ORV’s. The ORV entrance is located at 24th Ave.
and Ridge Rd.
gOLDEN TOWNSHIp pARK
A beach area located where the Silver Creek channel meets Lake Michigan,
and a favorite for families with small children. Facilities include portable restrooms.
Parking is very limited so arrive early. Cars parked along the road are
towed away. Parking is also available ¼ mile south at the Lighthouse. Located
at Silver Lake Rd. and Lighthouse Lane.
CEDAR pOINT COUNTy pARK
Cedar Point is a great place for spending a day at the beach! The 3 acre park
provides swimming, a picnic area, and restrooms. Spectacular multi-tiered
wooden steps guide visitors from the high bluff, through the forest canopy, to
the beach below. Located along the shore of Lake Michigan between Silver
Lake and Pentwater.
