8.4 INSTRUCTION<br />

At Club Management's discretion, two (2) courts will be used for lessons on<br />

weekdays and two (2) courts will be used for lessons on weekends.<br />

8.5 GUEST PLAY<br />

(a) A Member having tennis privileges may sponsor a maximum of four (4)<br />

guests on any non-holiday weekday. A Member having tennis privileges may sponsor<br />

and must accompany a maximum of three (3) guests for doubles and one (1) guest for<br />

singles on any weekend day or holiday.<br />

(b) A guest may play tennis only three (3) times per calendar month.<br />

Participation in member/guest tournaments and inter-club team play competition will not<br />

apply toward the once-a-month limitation.<br />

(c) Fees are charged and must be paid before courts are used. All other rules<br />

governing guests' attendance and participation in Club activities also apply.<br />

8.6 MINOR PLAY<br />

Minors may not reserve courts. Use of the tennis facilities by minors may be<br />

restricted to designated hours. When a minor is playing with an adult, the rules governing<br />

adult play shall apply.<br />

8.7 PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES<br />

No food or beverages, other than water, are permitted on the courts. Glass<br />

containers are not allowed on the courts. All trash is to be placed in the containers<br />

provided. Smoking is prohibited on the courts and no game other than tennis may be<br />

played on the courts. Excessive noise, racquet throwing, and profanity will not be<br />

permitted at any time. Persons not playing tennis are to remain off the court area or<br />

outside the fence for their own protection.<br />

8.8 <strong>RULES</strong> <strong>AND</strong> ETIQUETTE OF PLAY<br />

Members are required to familiarize themselves and their family and guests with<br />

the rules and etiquette of tennis as outlined in the United States Tennis Association<br />

(USTA) handbook. Failure to abide by USTA rules is considered a violation of these<br />

Rules and Regulations.<br />
