Ban foreign crap to help manufacturers, but no handouts
Nothin’ gets my blood boiling like
people lookin’ for handouts from
the government – though when
you get to my age, it’s a good sign
that you’ve still got it in you.
Anyways, it’s not just the layabouts
out east these days; seems
like the banks want more of our
money than they already steal
and, this week, the auto industry.
While I don’t hold with folks buyin’ foreign and
makin’ things hard for proper carmakers, I ain’t one
to support corporate welfare any more than I like to
see lazy folks on the dole.
If the government wants to help out the auto industry,
it should slap tariffs on the foreign models, especially
those that aren’t European. Better yet, just stop
‘em from coming into the country – it ain’t like those
parts of the world let us sell our cars over there.
Sure, folks here are changin’ how they buy cars on
account of the cost of gas, but that don’t mean us
taxpayers ought to be footin’ the bill for helping the
companies make a change.
The thing with handouts when times are tough is
that you don’t see anyone offering up more money to
the public coffers when they’re makin’ good profits.
Turnabout is fair play.
U.S. needs a real
man at the helm
On the topic of the economy, looks like there’s a
whole lot ridin’ on the Yanks and their election Nov.
4. If they’re smart, all this Obama nonsense is just so
much talk, and they’ll vote for a strong hand on the
tiller, which is what you’ll get with John McCain.
While Obama’s going on about airy-fairy stuff, Mc-
Cain knows the world is full of scum and that the
U.S. will have to wipe out the lot of ‘em before they
can rest. There’s no way you can go easy on terror-

When it comes to spending time behind the wheel,
I’m sorry to say there are lots of people with less

kinds of bad drivers out on the roads, and they sure
as Hades don’t need more distractions as they only
get worse – a scary proposition.
If you’re like me, you’ve seen folks gabbin’ away,
lookin’ at papers, juggling food, puttin’ on makeup
and a whole lot of other dumbass things they ought
to do at home rather than in the car, where they’re
puttin’ everyone else’s life at risk, along with lookin’
like they live on the wrong side of the tracks, if you
take my meaning.
No, this is one time where I can agree something
needs to be done.
