It may be claimed by its rightful owner at Division 3A. 1:51 PM | A license plate bearing the marker 3141 HY was reported missing. 7:43 PM | A routine police check resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old man. Police determined that the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen. Consequently, the individual was charged with a number of charges including: ‘possession of stolen property under $5,000,’ ‘using unauthorized plates,’ ‘driving without insurance,’ ‘driving without a license,’ and ‘removing plates without proper authorization.’ The driver must appear in court in December. » OctOber 24 12:45 AM | Police stopped a driver on Arthur Street South for speeding. Due to excessive speeds, the driver was charged with stunt driving and had their license suspended. 1:45 AM | An Elmira man was charged with speeding and issued a 12-hour driver’s license suspension. The vehicle was towed from the roadway, Arthur Street South. 9:38 AM | A trailer plate bearing the marker D5417T was reported lost somewhere in the Grand Bend area. 11:56 AM Another trailer plate was reported as lost. This time however, it was located and returned a few hours later. 5:43 PM | Police received a report of a stolen motorcycle. A late-model Honda Civic reported stolen Monday was involved in a single-vehicle collision that brought police to the area of Middlebrook Road in Elmira later that day. The car had been travelling northbound on Middlebrook at a high rate of speed when it crossed into the lane of oncoming traffic and veered to avoid a collision, subsequently flipping over several times. The vehicle was found abandoned the following day; it was returned to its owner. Both vehicles had been travelling in the same direction when one pulled out to pass the other, lost control and sideswiped the other car. There were no charges. Police would like to remind drivers to exercise caution while driving on slippery roads this winter season.
