7 th Conference Shell Struktures, Theory and Applications (SSTA2002)
Gdañsk-Jurata, Polen
AIM: to bring together scientists, designers, engineers and other specialists of shell
structures in order to discuss important results and new ideas in this field of activity.
Topics
- The theory and analysis of shells (linear and nonlinear theory, constitutive laws,
shells and plates with internal microstructure, hybrid and branched structures, beam
shell interaction, stability, dynamics, optimization, reliability, sensitivity, limit load
analysis),
- Numerical analysis of shell structures and elements (computer methods, analysis of
nonstandard problems, development of software packages),
- Design and maintenance of shell structures (industrial applications in civil, power,
mining and mechanical engineering, as well as in automotive, shipbuilding,
aerospace and chemical processing industries, shell design codes and procedures
(e.g. Eurocode), case studies of various shell structures and failure problems).
The 10 th Conference on Applied and industrial Mathematics
University of Pitesti, Romain
The University of Pitesti is a young one, because Pitesti, as a settlement of traders and
manufacturers, does not have a long tradition in formal education. CAIM 2002 provides
a forum for the review of the recent trends in theoretical, numerical and experimental
applied and industrial mathematics as well as in computer science.
Conference Sections
- Algebra,
- Ordinary differential equations and finite dimensional dynamical systems,
- Functional analysis and partial differential equations,
- Analytical and numerical methods in mechanics; industrial mathematics,
- Theoretical computer science,
- Stability of fluid flows,
- Education.
