Glasgow Mathematical Journal
Editorial policy: The Glasgow Mathematical Journal publishes original research papers in any
branch of Pure or Applied Mathematics. Its policy is to feature a wide variety of research areas
and it welcomes the submission of papers from all parts of the world. Selection for publication
is on the basis of reports from specialist referees commissioned by the Editors.
Most electronic formats are acceptable. In the case of a hard copy two copies should be sent.
All submissions should be accompanied by the author's address, telephone and fax number,
together with (if possible) an e-mail address. Submission of a paper is taken to imply that it has
not been previously published and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
Upon acceptance of a paper, the author will be asked to transfer copyright to the Glasgow
Mathematical Journal Trust.
Layout of manuscripts
Papers should be typed or word processed in double spacing throughout, with wide margins
and on one side of the paper. They should be prepared so as to conform to the practice in
