About CEPT University
Centre for Environment Planning & Technology (CEPT) was established in the year 1962
with the starting of School of Architecture (SA) through grant-in-aid from Government of Gujarat.
In 2005 CEPT was accorded the status of State University.
It has been recognized by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act,
1956. The University is recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by
Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). Many Programmes are recognized by
All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
CEPT University through its programmes strives to make students aware of the
multidimensional issues of contemporary society and to meet the challenges arising in resolving
these issues with gaining knowledge and wisdom.
About CCE
The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at CEPT University was established in 2008. It aims
at offering high quality and high value programs with international standards of excellence that
will reach out to people from different strata and professions across the country. Professionals
and persons in pursuit of knowledge enhancement and career advancement can benefit from
the programs on campus or distance learning mode (e-learning) offered through the CCE.
About E-Courses at CEPT
While numerous studies have proved that online learning is as effective as other methods. In
many cases, the flexibility provided by e-learning makes it better suited for busy students and
working professionals trying to juggle professional and personal commitments.
These e-courses at CCE, CEPT are delivered based on concept of “any time anywhere”,
through the web based e- learning portal. The course consists of self-paced modules, readings,
case studies, and assignments. The registered students have the freedom of studying at their
convenient time with the free access to E-learning portal of the University.

COURSE STRUCTURE & DURATION
Course duration: 6 months (This online course will be delivered in 24 weeks )
through the e-learning portal of the university
Certificates courses have 12 credits consisting of 12-16 modules.
Each module involves 5 sessions and reference material.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Graduation or Diploma in any Discipline with Minimum 50 % Marks
Professional student appearing final year exam may also apply.
TIMELINE
Online certificate courses are offered twice every year during the month of April and
November. The Ecourse on Urban Planning is offered thrice a year during the month
April, August and November.
Admission process for April batch and November Batch starts in the month of February
and September respectively.

form and required supporting documents. No admission test is conducted.
