Agro Food Parks
(Kota, Boranada (Jodhpur), Sri Ganganagar and Alwar)
Scheme & Details:
Agro Food Parks is a scheme of Ministry of Food Processing, Government
of India.
The scheme provides for funding of common infrastructure facilities like
water facility, power supply, Common Effluent Treatment Plants, Test Labs,
Mandi Yards, Godowns etc. to the extent of 25% of project cost subject to
the maximum of Rs. 4 crores.
Four Agro Food Parks at Kota, Boranada, Alwar and Sri Ganganagar have
been developed where basic infrastructure like roads, drains, water, power,
street lights have been provided.
Extensions of food parks at Kota and Boranada have also been taken up for
which no grant from GOI has been sanctioned.
Incentives available in Agro Food Parks
Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, 2003, the
following are admissible to units meeting Government eligibility
norms:
Mandi tax exemption upto 50%,
Interest subsidy and
Wage subsidy
Remission of stamp duty on sale and purchase of land and properties
in Agro Food Parks.
Remission of electricity duty to Agro and Agro Processing units in
Agro Food Parks for five years.
Set-off entry tax on raw material and capital goods.
Set-off of Rajasthan Sales Tax on capital goods.

Test Labs at all the four Agro Food Parks are being established.
Basic development work in Boranada, Kota and Sri Ganganagar have been
completed. Development works in Boranada extension, Kota extension and
Alwar are in progress.
An MOU has been executed with Central Scientific Instruments
Organisation (CSIO) – a GOI undertaking, for establishing & running the
Labs for initial 2–3 years.
Agro Test Lab building at all the four places have been handed over to
CSIO,.
Equipment worth about Rs 60.00 lakhs have been ordered .
