keenness money would not be adjusted. Payment <strong>of</strong> balance<br />

75%development charges shall be made in the similar manner as in case <strong>of</strong><br />

industrial plot. Policy about time extension, levy <strong>of</strong> service charges and<br />

economic rent would be at par with the policy applicable for industrial<br />

plots.<br />

viii) The sponsoring body should take effective steps to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the<br />

State Government/<strong>RIICO</strong> within two years <strong>of</strong> allotment, otherwise land<br />

allotment would be cancelled and keenness money would be forfeited.<br />

ix) In the university campus residential blocks including staff quarters and<br />

hostel etc. would be allowed on the basis <strong>of</strong> actual needs.<br />

modified as per observation made by IDC vide item 2 <strong>of</strong> its meeting held on<br />

24.7.2007 & item 7 <strong>of</strong> its meeting held on 16.11.2007)<br />

3(Y) ALLOTMENT OF LAND TO THE PRIVATE DEVELOPERS FOR<br />

THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPMENT OF IT COMPLEX/CAMPUS<br />

1. IT COMPLEX / CAMPUS DEFINED:<br />

Permissible Units/Activities in IT Complex/Campus are as under:<br />

(i) IT Industries, IT enabled Services (ITeS) as defined in the relevant notifications<br />

issued by the State Government/GoI.<br />

ii) Robotics, Nano Technology, Mobile Computing, Mobile Communications, other<br />

frontier technologies.<br />

iii) Chip Manufacturing.<br />

iv) IT related Research and Development facilities.<br />

v) Or any other activities as may be notified from time to time by the IT Department<br />

<strong>of</strong> GoR/GoI.<br />

2. PRE CONDITIONS FOR LAND ALLOTMENT:<br />

(i) There must be an Anchor Unit.<br />

(ii) Minimum <strong>Land</strong> Area Requirement will be <strong>of</strong> 10 acres.<br />

3. WHO CAN APPLY:<br />

(i) Individual anchor unit and/or a developer can apply for allotment <strong>of</strong> land. The<br />

minimum area requirement is <strong>of</strong> 10 acres <strong>of</strong> land.<br />

(ii) If a developer is seeking allotment <strong>of</strong> land to develop an IT Complex/Campus<br />

then there shall have to be an arrangement <strong>of</strong> an anchor unit coming up in the IT<br />

Complex/Campus to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> <strong>RIICO</strong>. Such an anchor unit shall utilize<br />

at least 30% <strong>of</strong> the total constructed area <strong>of</strong> the complex/campus for its own use<br />

as well as its vendors/ subsidiaries/ancillaries. An undertaking by the anchor<br />

unit to this effect if not accompanied with the application must be submitted<br />

within 60 days <strong>of</strong> the ‘in principle’ approval conveyed by <strong>RIICO</strong>.<br />
