FRajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (<strong>RIICO</strong>), an apex industrial organization<br />

industrial infrastructure, finance, consultancy <strong>and</strong> other industry related assistance.<br />
F<strong>RIICO</strong> has 26. Regional Unit Offices in Rajasthan, besides one Unit Office in Delhi. (The names of existing industrial<br />
areas, special purpose industrial complexes/parks, etc. being supervised by each regional unit office are provided at<br />
Annexure-I).<br />
MAIN ACTIVITIES OF <strong>RIICO</strong><br />
Infrastructure Development<br />
FProvides total infrastructure support to industrial projects in Rajasthan by way of developing industrial areas <strong>and</strong><br />
townships.<br />
F<strong>RIICO</strong> accords priority to development of social <strong>and</strong> industrial infrastructure in <strong>and</strong> around industrial areas.<br />
FSocial infrastructure includes educational institutions, parks, post offices, banks, shopping complexes, housing, etc.<br />
F<strong>RIICO</strong> has developed 321 industrial areas spread all over the State, of which around 98 industrial areas are located<br />
either on Golden quadrilateral corridor or on East - West corridor or on North - South corridor or on National<br />
Highways.<br />
FMore than 29,030 industrial units are in production within the industrial areas developed by <strong>RIICO</strong>.<br />
Financial Assistance<br />
FPremier term lending institution in the State.<br />
FProvides term loan, working capital term loan, etc. under various schemes for industrial, infrastructure <strong>and</strong><br />
commercial projects.<br />
F<strong>RIICO</strong>’s assistance to 966 projects so far, has catalyzed investment to the tune of Rs. 68,684 million <strong>and</strong> generated<br />
employment for over <strong>10</strong>2,625 persons.<br />

Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund<br />
Venture Capital to support companies in technology <strong>and</strong> emerging sectors :<br />
FWith a view to support companies in technology <strong>and</strong> emerging sector, especially in IT Sector, <strong>RIICO</strong> jointly with SIDBI,<br />
has promoted Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund (RVCF). The Fund, which is managed by Rajasthan Asset<br />
Management Company Private Limited, a private sector autonomous organization, is providing Venture Capital<br />
assistance <strong>and</strong> mentoring services to projects on pan India basis with focus in Rajasthan <strong>and</strong> NCR. The contribution<br />
of over INR 130 Cr.<br />
FRVCF adopts a flexible approach for supporting the investee companies. Its financial assistance is mostly in the form<br />

Centre for Development of Stones<br />
FCentre for Development of Stones (CDOS) is an autonomous organization promoted by the Government of<br />
Rajasthan <strong>and</strong> <strong>RIICO</strong> with broad objects to develop, promote <strong>and</strong> support the dimensional stone sector <strong>and</strong> related<br />
Industries in India. It is registered as a Society.<br />
FCDOS complex with state-of-the-art work <strong>facilities</strong> comprising R & D Centre <strong>and</strong> test house for testing of stones as<br />
per international st<strong>and</strong>ards, trade promotion centre, stone technology <strong>and</strong> trade information centre, stone park,<br />
stone museum, artisans village <strong>and</strong> export product display centre, etc., are operational at Sitapura, Jaipur<br />
FCDOS has been organizing the International Stone Industry Exhibition - INDIA STONEMART biennially for<br />
promotion of Indian stones. The exhibition has already been established as a prominent event in the global stone<br />
trade.<br />
FCDOS also organises an International stone technology conference - GLOBAL STONE TECHNOLOGY FORUM.<br />
FBesides, CDOS also conducts various other activities like conferences, buyer-seller meets, training programmes,<br />
international exposure to members through country pavilions in overseas exhibition <strong>and</strong> trade delegations,<br />
dissemination of trade enquiries, website, sector related publications, etc..<br />
POLICIES & INCENTIVES, CONCESSIONS AND FACILITIES<br />
The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme - 20<strong>10</strong><br />
FA Scheme announced by Government of Rajasthan to facilitate investment in Rajasthan in establishment of New<br />
Enterprise (s) <strong>and</strong>/or investments made by the existing Enterprise (S) for Modernzation/Expansion/Diversification.<br />
st<br />
FThe scheme has come into effect from 25.08.20<strong>10</strong> <strong>and</strong> shall remain in force up to 31 March, 2018.<br />
FThe Scheme, except for ineligible enterprises, is applicable to New Enterprise, Existing Enterprise making investment<br />
for Modernization/Expansion/Diversification, Sick industrial enterprise for its revival <strong>and</strong> Enterprise which has set up<br />
Project for Common Social Good as defined under the Scheme; however subject to the condition that the Enterprise<br />
shall commence commercial production or operation during the operative period of the Scheme <strong>and</strong> meet<br />
conditions of minimum investment <strong>and</strong> minimum direct employment.<br />
Under the Scheme, Subsidy consisting of Investment Subsidy <strong>and</strong> Employment Generation Subsidy shall be allowed<br />
for a period of seven years (Ten years for MSME located in the notified area), The maximum amount of Subsidy shall<br />
be 50% of the total amount of tax (es) that is VAT <strong>and</strong> CST or SGST (whenever introduced), which have become due<br />
<strong>and</strong> have been deposited into the government exchequer, however, an Additional subsidy to the extent of <strong>10</strong>% of the<br />
amount of said tax (es) which have become due <strong>and</strong> have been deposited into the government exchequer shall be<br />
allowed to Women/SC/ST/Person with disability (PwD) entrepreneur, by way of additional investment subsidy.<br />

FThe scheme also provides for following exemption (s)l<strong>10</strong>0%<br />
exemption of Luxury Tax for seven years (Ten years for MSME located in the notified area).<br />
l50 % exemption of Electricity Duty, Entertainment Tax, L<strong>and</strong> Tax <strong>and</strong> M<strong>and</strong>i fee for seven years (Ten years for<br />
MSME located in the notified area).<br />
l50% exemption of Stamp Duty on purchase or lease of l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> construction/improvement on such l<strong>and</strong> (one<br />
time for each such transaction for the same project).<br />
l50% exemption of Conversion Charge payable for change of l<strong>and</strong> use (one time for each such transaction for the<br />
same project).<br />
FThe State Government may grant customized package to any enterprise such as;<br />
lNew Enterprises having investment of more than Rs. 500 crore <strong>and</strong> providing minimum employment to 200<br />
persons;<br />
lEnterprises having potential of very high employment generation; <strong>and</strong><br />
lEnterprises having special importance for the State as referred by Industries Department.<br />

FThe State Govt. has announced-<br />
1. "Package for Investment in Power loom Sector in the Districts of Jodhpur, Pali <strong>and</strong> Barmer" vide order dated<br />
12.07.20<strong>11</strong><br />
2. "Special Incentive Package for Ceramic <strong>and</strong> Glass Sector-20<strong>11</strong>" vide order dated 07.<strong>10</strong>.20<strong>11</strong><br />

Policy for Promotion of Agro Processing <strong>and</strong> Agri Business 20<strong>10</strong> :<br />
Agro-processing <strong>and</strong> agri-business are entitled to the following category of incentives :<br />
1. Incentives admissible under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, as amended from time to time.<br />
2. Additional Incentives/<strong>concession</strong>s under this Policy. This will include :<br />
(a) Incentive for new Employment Creation : Rs. 4000/- per year for each new emplyees (Rs. 6000/- for<br />
women/SC/ST).<br />
(b) Electricity Duty <strong>concession</strong> : 50% exemption/remission of Electricity duty for 7 years.<br />
(c) Stamp duty <strong>concession</strong> : 50% exemption in Food Parks.<br />
(d) Concessions on l<strong>and</strong> related issues :<br />
1) Conversion of l<strong>and</strong> : SDO to convert upto <strong>10</strong> hectares.<br />
2) Simplified conversion process in designated agro-processing zones.<br />
3) L<strong>and</strong> allotment on lease basis : Allotment at <strong>10</strong>% of the prevailling DLC rate for projects with new<br />
technology/processess.<br />
4) Government L<strong>and</strong> on lease of upto 30 years for projects of Rs. 50 crore of more.<br />
5) Exemption from the Agricultural L<strong>and</strong> Ceiling Act.<br />
(e) Incentive for market development <strong>and</strong> diversification :<br />
1) Subsidy of 50%, maximum Rs. 50,000/- for tests abroad.<br />
2) 20% of FOB or Rs. 3.50 per kg., maximum Rs. <strong>10</strong> lakh, subsidy on exports.<br />
3) Subsidy of 25% of rail freight, maximum Rs. <strong>10</strong> lakh.<br />
(f) Incentives for quality <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />

(g) Concession on direct purchase <strong>and</strong> market fee.<br />
(h) Incentive for new project development.<br />
(i) Incentives for 'Early Bird' projects : Projects with investment of Rs. 25.00 crores or more which come into<br />
commercial production before 31.3.2012 will be eligible for enhanced incentives as :<br />
1) <strong>10</strong>0% exemption from Electricity Duty for a period of 7 years only for agro-processing exterprises.<br />
2) <strong>10</strong>0% exemption from Stamp Duty for purchase/lease of l<strong>and</strong><br />
3) <strong>10</strong>0% exemption in l<strong>and</strong> conversion charges<br />
4) <strong>10</strong>0% exemption from the M<strong>and</strong>i fee<br />
5) Employment incentive @ 5,000 <strong>and</strong> Rs. 7,000 per employee in place of Rs. 4,000 <strong>and</strong> Rs. 6,000<br />
respectively as given above.<br />
Income Tax Exemption for Agro/Food Industries :<br />
Under Sub Section (<strong>11</strong>A) of Section of 80-IB of Income Tax Act, 1961, an undertaking derriving profit from the business of<br />
processing, preservation, <strong>and</strong> packaging of fruits or vegetables or meat <strong>and</strong> meat products or poultry or marine or dairy<br />
product or from the integrated business of h<strong>and</strong>ling, storage <strong>and</strong> transportation of food grains shall be eligible for <strong>10</strong>0%<br />
deduction for first five year <strong>and</strong> thereafter 25% (30% in case of company) for <strong>10</strong> years<br />

above policy.)<br />
State’s Information Technology Policy - 2007<br />
Major incentives being extended to IT units under IT Policy 2007 are :<br />

Relaxed Rules :<br />

IT industry only, the FAR applicable shall be up to double of what is applicable for commercial buildings, provided<br />
the unit is within the Integrated Township Scheme <strong>and</strong> subject to the condition that overall FAR of the scheme area shall<br />

not exceed 1 (one). For areas not covered under the Integrated Township Schemes, commercial FAR of 2.0 would be<br />
allowed.<br />

2. Incubation Centre, at IT Park, Sitapura :<br />

IT Incubation Centre on an area of 5000 sq. ft. (120 seats) having state-of-the-art plug <strong>and</strong> play facility has been<br />
set up in IT Park, Sitapura, Jaipur. The Plug & play facility is available on rent. The Incubation Centre is also having<br />
<strong>facilities</strong> like business centre <strong>and</strong> cafeteria.<br />
3. New IT Parks<br />
F<strong>RIICO</strong><br />
in its following industrial areas have provided l<strong>and</strong> to the "Developers" for building IT parks.<br />
(i) Kant Kalwar, Jaipur (l<strong>and</strong> area <strong>10</strong> acres)<br />
(ii) Bhiwadi, Alwar (l<strong>and</strong> area 16 acres)<br />
(iii) Boranada, Jodhpur (l<strong>and</strong> area 16 acres)<br />
Special Package of Concessions <strong>and</strong> Facilities to Information Technology (IT) Units<br />
In addition to <strong>concession</strong>s & <strong>facilities</strong> as available under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2003, the following<br />
special package of <strong>concession</strong>s <strong>and</strong> <strong>facilities</strong> is available to Information Technology (IT) units:<br />

Policy on Special Economic Zones (SEZs)<br />
Objectives of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Scheme<br />

Fpromotion of exports of goods <strong>and</strong> services;<br />

Incentives <strong>and</strong> <strong>facilities</strong> offered to the SEZs by Govt. of India<br />
The incentives <strong>and</strong> <strong>facilities</strong> offered to the units in SEZs for attracting investments into the SEZs, including foreign<br />
investment include :-<br />
FDuty free import/domestic procurement of goods for development, operation <strong>and</strong> maintenance of SEZ units.<br />
F<strong>10</strong>0% Income Tax exemption on export income for SEZ units under Section <strong>10</strong> AA of the Income Tax Act for<br />
first 5 years, 50% for next 5 years thereafter <strong>and</strong> 50% of the ploughed back export profit for next 5 years.<br />
FExternal commercial borrowing by SEZ units up to US $ 500 million in a year without any maturity restriction through<br />
recognized banking channels.<br />
FExemption from Central Sales Tax.<br />
FExemption from Service Tax.<br />
FSingle window clearance for Central <strong>and</strong> State level approvals.<br />
FExemption from State sales tax <strong>and</strong> other levies as extended by the respective State Governments.<br />
The major incentives <strong>and</strong> <strong>facilities</strong> available to SEZ developers include :-<br />
FExemption from customes/excise duties for development of SEZs for authorized operations approved by the BOA.<br />
FIncome Tax exemption on income derived from the business of development of the SEZ in a block of <strong>10</strong> years in 15<br />
years under Section 80-IAB of the Income Tax Act.<br />
FExemption from Central Seles Tax (CST).<br />
FExemption from Service Tax (Section 7, 26 <strong>and</strong> Second Schedule of the SEZ Act).<br />
Incentives & Facilities by the Govt. of Rajasthan<br />
FSEZs are exempted from l<strong>and</strong> ceiling.<br />

F<strong>10</strong>0% exemption from work contract tax to units, co-developers <strong>and</strong> developers upto 23.08.2014 (upto<br />
23.08.2017 in backward areas).<br />
F<strong>10</strong>0% exemption from entry tax to units on capital goods brought into local areas by the unit required for use as<br />
capital goods for setting up industry in SEZ.<br />
F<strong>10</strong>0% exemption from VAT to units on sale or purchase by a registered dealer being an industrial unit established in<br />
SEZ, of goods specified in certificate of registration, for the purpose of exclusive use in the manufacturing of goods<br />
for sale in the course of export out of the country.<br />
F<strong>10</strong>0% exemption from luxury tax for 7 years.<br />
F50% exemption from entertainment tax for 7 years.<br />
Agro Food Parks - Special Incentives <strong>and</strong> Concessions<br />
The following special incentives <strong>and</strong> <strong>concession</strong>s are available to units in Agro Food Parks promoted at Ranpur near Kota,<br />
Boranada near Jodhpur <strong>and</strong> Sriganganagar:<br />
FRemission of stamp duty on sale <strong>and</strong> purchase of l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> properties in Agro Food Parks.*<br />
FRemission of electricity duty to units in Agro Food Parks for 5 years.*<br />
FSet off of entry tax on raw material <strong>and</strong> capital goods.*<br />

FSet off of Rajasthan Sales Tax on capital goods.*<br />

Interest Subsidy Under TUF Scheme of GOI for Textile Sector Projects<br />
Under the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme of GOI for textile, jute, cotton ginning & pressing industries, there is<br />
reimbursement of five percentage points on the interest charged by lending agency on a project of technology upgradation<br />
in conformity with the technology bench marking <strong>and</strong> other norms, as applicable from time to time. Benifits under TUFs will<br />
be available to eligible investment upto 31.03.2012.<br />
Package of Incentives for Projects Set-up at Growth Centres<br />
FGrowth Centres have been developed by <strong>RIICO</strong> at :<br />
l Abu Road l Dholpur l Khara (Bikaner) l Karni (Bikaner) l Hamirgarh (Bhilwara)<br />
l Jhalawar l Palsana (Sikar) l Parbatsar (Nagaur).<br />
FProduction incentive to units located in Growth Centres @ 20%, 15% <strong>and</strong> <strong>10</strong>% in rate of development charges for<br />
commencement of commercial production within a period of 12 months, 18 months <strong>and</strong> 24 months, respectively<br />
from the date of allotment of plots.<br />
Hospitals <strong>and</strong> Nursing Homes<br />
To give fillip to the setting up of hospitals/nursing homes, allotment of l<strong>and</strong> in industrial areas would be done as follows:<br />
lIn slow moving industrial areas allotment would be done at industrial rates.<br />
lIn normal areas at 1.5 times of industrial rates, <strong>and</strong><br />
lIn saturated areas the allotment would be made by inviting sealed bids.<br />
HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT<br />
FThe State Government will encourage setting up of Technology Institutes/Engineering Colleges for specific<br />
trades/sectors by established business houses, trusts <strong>and</strong> individuals having sound track record of promoting <strong>and</strong><br />
operating such institutes. <strong>RIICO</strong> may allot l<strong>and</strong> at industrial rates for such Institutes as per procedure prescribed in<br />
this regard at its Industrial Areas.<br />
FIndustrial Training Institutes (ITIs) dedicated to the needs of local industry at selected places will be encouraged.<br />
For this purpose, <strong>RIICO</strong> may provide l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> building on lease basis to private companies/individuals/trusts.<br />
POWER<br />
Incentives & Facilities<br />
FInterest will be paid on amount of security deposit at rate equivalent to bank rate of Reserve Bank of India as on 1st<br />
April of the relevant financial year.<br />

sickness shall be waived. The closure period shall be verified by the Financial Institution/Industries Department,<br />
as the case may be.<br />
lSuch consumers whose old security has already been adjusted against the outst<strong>and</strong>ing dues shall be required to<br />
pay normal security, as per rules, in six quarterly installments. Such installments would commence after a<br />
moratorium of three months, subsequent to reconnection, wherever applicable.<br />
FList of sick industries indicating the period of sickness/closure in this regard shall be provided by the Industries Department.<br />
FSuch <strong>concession</strong>s shall not be allowed to consumers having pending court cases for their dues or security in any Court<br />
of Law, Consumer Forum/Commission/MRTP etc., unless withdrawn.<br />
FStrict adherence of payment should be made by industries. In case of default in payments as per <strong>concession</strong> package<br />
allowed aforesaid, the connection shall be disconnected forthwith <strong>and</strong> facility of <strong>concession</strong> allowed shall be<br />
withdrawn <strong>and</strong> consumer will be liable to pay the dues in normal course. In deserving case, however concerned CE<br />
(O & M) would have discretion to grant a grace period for 15 days. The Managing Director, however shall have full<br />
power for extension in grance period in such cases.<br />
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BY <strong>RIICO</strong><br />
Schemes <strong>and</strong> Eligible Projects<br />
<strong>RIICO</strong> provides term loan assistance to industrial, infrastructure <strong>and</strong> commercial projects. Assistance is also provided for<br />
expansion, modernisation, diversification, etc.<br />
FInfrastructure projects such as bridges, roads, flyovers, power plants, etc. are considered, on merits.<br />
FCommercial projects such as multiplexes, commercial / residential complexes, cinema halls, shopping malls, hotels,<br />
motels, schools, colleges, hospitals, amusement parks, etc. are considered, on merits.<br />
Apart from project finance, the Corporation provides loans under the following schemes :<br />

Attractive rate of interest, 14.5% p.a at present, is offered to all projects other than Real Estate Projects (Covered under<br />
Builders Scheme for commercial/residential complexes) with incentive of 2% for timely repayment of dues. Presently, the<br />
rate of interest on Real Estate Projects under Builders Scheme (for commercial/residential complexes) is 16.5% p.a. with a<br />
timely repayment rebate of 2%.<br />
The cases covered under Incentive Scheme for Good Borrowers are eligible for a further rebate of 1% (cases under Builders<br />
Scheme for commercial/residential complexes are not eligible.).<br />
<strong>10</strong><br />
Loan is sanctioned at lower rate of interest to good borrowers having net worth of Rs. <strong>10</strong> million <strong>and</strong> minimum annual turn<br />
over of Rs. <strong>10</strong> million, provided the loan is atleast Rs. 5 million <strong>and</strong> is partially secured by collateral security or promoters’<br />
contribution is 25% with the debt equity ratio of the company is not more than 1.25:1.<br />
Rebate on interest of 1% over a period of 3 years to new as well as existing borrowers, who remain in the category of<br />
St<strong>and</strong>ard Account at the end of the year, is also available under GIRS. Those who avail benefit in interest, as Good<br />
Borrowers, are not entitled for this rebate.<br />
Repayment Period<br />
FThe term loans are repayable in six to eight years, including moratorium, depending on cash flow of the project.<br />
For schemes other than project finance, as given above, the loans are repayable in 5 years period including<br />
moratorium of 6-12 months.<br />
FShort term loans are repayable in 18 months.<br />
Application <strong>and</strong> Fee<br />
The Corporation is levying processing fee, service charges <strong>and</strong> upfront fee as per details below :<br />

HOW TO GET LAND FROM <strong>RIICO</strong><br />
FGet in touch with <strong>RIICO</strong>’s Regional Office or Head Office at Jaipur or Delhi Office <strong>and</strong> obtain the l<strong>and</strong> allotment<br />
application form costing Rs. <strong>10</strong>0/- only (Rs. 150/- for EPIPs <strong>and</strong> SEZs).<br />
<strong>11</strong>
FSubmit the l<strong>and</strong> application form duly filled- in giving all possible details required therein <strong>and</strong> project outlines/profiles<br />
in prescribed format, along with security money @ 1% of the prevailing rate of development charges for the l<strong>and</strong><br />
requirement subject to a minimum amount of Rs. 2500/- <strong>and</strong> initial 25% cost of l<strong>and</strong> by way of development charges<br />
for the l<strong>and</strong> requirement at the prevailing rate of allotment fixed for the area.<br />
FThe balance 75% cost of l<strong>and</strong> shall be paid in 19 interest bearing quarterly installments or the allottee may opt to deposit 75%<br />
development charges within 60 days without any interest (interest @ 14% is chargeable beyond a period of 60 days for the<br />
period of default, if extension is granted).<br />
Rebate in L<strong>and</strong> Rates<br />
F<strong>RIICO</strong> offers following l<strong>and</strong> rebate to industrial plot allottees in non-saturated industrial areas :<br />
l50% rebate in l<strong>and</strong> rate to Schedule Caste <strong>and</strong> Schedule Tribe upto a maximum of 2,000 sq. mts. l<strong>and</strong>.<br />
l50% rebate in l<strong>and</strong> rate for setting up Electronics Industry upto a maximum of 4,000 sq. mts. l<strong>and</strong>.<br />
l15% rebate in l<strong>and</strong> rate to physically h<strong>and</strong>icapped persons desirous of setting up their industry upto a maximum of<br />
2,000 sq. mts. l<strong>and</strong>.<br />
l25% rebate in l<strong>and</strong> rate to ex-servicemen upto 2,000 sq. mts.<br />
l25% rebate in l<strong>and</strong> rate to women entrepreneurs upto 2,000 sq. mts.; 25% rebate to war windows upto 2,000 sq. mts.<br />
l20% rebate in l<strong>and</strong> rates for setting up Solar Energy Industry upto 4,000 sq. mts.<br />
5% of plots of size to 2000 sq. mts. or less in the area are reserved for women <strong>and</strong> SC/ST entrepreneurs <strong>and</strong> 2% of<br />
plots of size up to 2000 sq. mts. or less are reserved for Ex-Servicemen for allotment till area is declared saturated<br />
or plots are available up to ceiling size.<br />
FRebate @ <strong>10</strong>% in the rate of development charges shall be given for allotment of l<strong>and</strong> measuring <strong>10</strong>,000 sq. mts. or<br />
more in non-saturated industrial areas. This rebate shall increase @ 0.5% per 1,000 sq. mts. l<strong>and</strong> maximum upto<br />
25%. Besides, an additional rebate of <strong>10</strong>% shall be given by way of refund if applicant takes minimum 20,000 sq.<br />
mts. l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> makes an investment of minimum Rs. 500 million within a period of 5 years.<br />
F2% rebate in allotment rates is allowed to all applicants in above cases, provided <strong>10</strong>0% development charges are<br />
deposited with application form.<br />
Special L<strong>and</strong> Package to IT Industries in IT Parks/Designated IT Zones :<br />
L<strong>and</strong> allotment for setting up of various IT industries as defined below/Institutes will be made at the rate of development<br />
charges prevailing in the park/zone. The following entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebates shall be reimbursed by <strong>RIICO</strong> to the eligible<br />
allottees after making stipulated investment in prescribed time by them :<br />
F Very Prestigious Investment - in IT Software, ITES <strong>and</strong> IT Hardware - For the industry which is set up on<br />
the allotted plot by any company with a minimum fixed investment of Rs. <strong>10</strong>0 million or by a Fortune 500 company,<br />
within a period of 3 years, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be @ 60% of the plot allotment rate.<br />
F Prestigious Investment - in IT Software, ITES <strong>and</strong> IT Hardware - For the industry which is set up on the<br />
allotted plot with a minimum fixed investment of Rs. <strong>10</strong> million within a period of 3 years, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be<br />
@ 50% of the allotment rate for the plot upto maximum of 5 acres area.<br />
FGeneral Investment - in IT Software, ITES <strong>and</strong> IT Hardware - For the industry which is set up on the<br />
allotted plot with a minimum fixed investment of Rs. 1.00 million per 500 sq. mts. l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> Rs. 2 lacs for every<br />
subsequent <strong>10</strong>0 sq. mts. within a period of 3 years, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be @ 25% of the allotment rate for the<br />
plot upto maximum of 2000 sq.mts. area.<br />
F Advanced IT Institutes - For the institute which is set up on the allotted plot with a minimum fixed investment of Rs.<br />
50 million within a period of 3 years, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be @ 25% of the allotment rate for the plot upto<br />

maximum of 5 acres area. Advanced IT Institutes would mean institutes offering exclusive IT courses atleast of the<br />
level of MCA/BE/M.Tech. (IT)/MBA (IT)/MSC (IT) or a recognized equivalent.<br />
F General Computer Training Institutes - No rebate in the allotment rate shall be allowed. However, <strong>RIICO</strong><br />
may consider l<strong>and</strong> allotment upto maximum of 2000 sq.mts. on prevailing rate provided unit makes fixed investment<br />
of about Rs. 5 lacs per 500 sq. mts. l<strong>and</strong> within 3 years period.<br />

FProduction activities will need to be started within three years from the date of possession or from the date of lease<br />
deed execution, whichever is earlier.<br />

Special L<strong>and</strong> Package to Modern Bio-Tech <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics Industries in BT Parks :<br />
L<strong>and</strong> allotment for setting up of various Bio-Tech <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics industries including projects covered under Modern<br />
Bio Technology, will be made at the rate of development charges prevailing in the area. The following entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate<br />
shall be reimbursed by <strong>RIICO</strong> to the eligible allottees:<br />
F Major Bio-Technology <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics Companies - (annual turn over of more than Rs. <strong>10</strong>00 million<br />
in this field as per the latest audited balance sheet) - For the industry which is set up on the allotted plot with a<br />
minimum fixed investment of Rs. <strong>10</strong>0 million within a period of 4 years from the date of allotment in the specially<br />
designated Bio Technology Parks/Zones, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be @ 60% of the allotment rate for the plot upto<br />
maximum of <strong>10</strong> acres area.<br />
FGeneral Bio-Technology <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics Units - For the industry which is set up by any<br />
entrepreneur on the allotted plot in the specially designated Bio Technology Parks/Zones with a minimum<br />
fixed investment of Rs. 1.50 million per <strong>10</strong>00 sq. mts. within a period of 5 years, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be<br />
@ 40% of the allotment rate for the plot upto maximum of 5 acres area. Additional discount of <strong>10</strong>% on<br />
allotment rate may also be allowed if the plot allottee commences commercial production within 3 years from<br />
the date of allotment.<br />
F Advanced Bio-Technology <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics Institutes - For the institute which is set up on the allotted<br />
plot in the specially designated Bio-Technology <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics Zones with a minimum fixed investment of Rs. 50<br />
million within a period of 3 years <strong>and</strong> commences operation within 3 years from the date of possession or from the<br />
date of lease deed execution, whichever is earlier, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be @ 50% of the allotment rate for the<br />
plot upto maximum of 5 acres area.<br />
Advanced BT Institutes would mean institutes offering M.Tech., M.Sc., B.Sc. or recognized equivalent courses in this field only.<br />
F General Bio-Technology <strong>and</strong> Bio-Informatics Training Institutes - No rebate in the allotment rate shall<br />
be allowed. However, <strong>RIICO</strong> may consider l<strong>and</strong> allotment in any industrial area on the rate prevailing in the area.<br />
Bio-Technology Industries Outside the Bio-Technology Parks, in Selected<br />
Industrial Areas :<br />
For the Bio-Technology industry which is proposed to be set up outside the Bio-Technology Parks, in the Selected<br />
Industrial Areas, entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be @ <strong>10</strong>% of the allotment rate for the plot upto maximum of 4000 sq.<br />
mts. area, after construction of building by the plot allottees covering atleast 20% of the plot area with a pucca<br />
structure where roof has been built-up within a period of 2 years from date of possession or from the date of<br />
execution of lease deed, whichever is earlier. The entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate shall be reimbursed by <strong>RIICO</strong> to the eligible<br />
allottees.<br />

L<strong>and</strong> Allotment for Setting Up a Corporate <strong>and</strong> Registered Headquarter for<br />
Major Bio-Technology Companies :<br />
L<strong>and</strong> at prevailing industrial rate would be allotted for setting up Corporate <strong>and</strong> Registered headquarters for major Bio-<br />
Technology National <strong>and</strong> Multinational companies in Rajasthan. Allowing 20% utility area for creation of residential<br />
accommodation may also be considered. Entitled l<strong>and</strong> rebate @ 50% of the allotment rate would be reimbursed to first<br />
five companies (pioneering units) on construction of building covering atleast 20% of plot area with a pucca structure<br />
where roof has been built-up within a period of 3 years from the date of possession or from the date of execution of lease<br />
deed, whichever is earlier.<br />
Notes-<br />
FIn case of failure to observe the terms <strong>and</strong> conditions regarding investment <strong>and</strong> time schedule mentioned in the<br />
package, the <strong>concession</strong>al amount shall be recovered from allottee with interest from the date on which <strong>concession</strong><br />
amount has been reimbursed.<br />
FIn each case, the decision of <strong>RIICO</strong> shall be final as to what qualifies as Bio-Tech Industry/Institute for the purpose of<br />
above said incentive.<br />
