THE nEW sTAnFOrd HOsPITAL
To be built over the next eight years, the New Stanford
Hospital will deliver the most advanced treatments and
technologies available in medicine—in an environment that
redefines what a hospital experience can be. Designed with
privacy, comfort and patient convenience at its core, the
facility triples the size of the existing Andreessen Emergency
Department, doubles Stanford’s ICu capacity and increases
inpatient capacity to 600 beds.
The New Stanford Hospital will be financed primarily through
operating revenues and bond financing, but philanthropy
must play an essential role in making it a reality.
