Scope of Supply<br />

Indicator: Weight of milk should be indicated on a Table tope<br />

complete mechanism should be housed in a dust proof enclosure<br />

and fitted with damping facilities and all other adjustments. An<br />

electrical heater should be provided to prevent condensation of<br />

3 WEIGH BOWL (Single Compartment)<br />

Functional Requirements<br />

This would be mounted in a weighing machine for weighing<br />

milk (milk would be tipped manually into it from 40 L cans).<br />

Design Requirements<br />

Capacity: 300 L with 75 mm allowance in depth<br />

Dimensions of the Bowl: Should be suitable for the weigh scale<br />

Slope: 1:8 towards the outlet (from three sides)<br />

Finish: All the welding joints are to be ground smooth. All<br />

stainless steel surfaces are to be polished to 150 frits.<br />

Joint Curvature: All inside corners should have minimum radii<br />

of 25 mm.<br />

Bowl: The bowl should be fabricated from 2 mm thick stainless<br />

steel sheet confiming to AISI 304. The top edges should be bent<br />

outward. It should be suitable to be suspended from the weigh<br />

scale.<br />

Outlet Valve: The outlet valve would be mechanically operated<br />

from the reading position The outlet valve disc and stainless<br />

steel chain for hanging valve from the operating lever are within<br />

the scope of supply<br />

Strainer- cum- Antisplash Unit: This should be made from 2<br />

would have an antisplash bowl. Slanting strainer made from<br />

be of tubular design with a concentric cylindrical filter<br />

made from SS screen of 105mm pitch.<br />

3. Pressure Drop:- Pressure drop across the strainer shall<br />

net exceed 0.3 kg/sq.cm<br />

4. Finish: All welding joints are to be ground smooth and<br />

finished to 150 grit. All stainless steel surfaces are to be<br />

5. The casing shall be made from AISI 304 SS 3 mm thick<br />

7. Lid & Clamp : AISI 304 SS grooved lid fitted by means<br />

of SS clamp shall be provided at opposite to the inlet<br />

1. The firm should have installed a minimum of two plants in Kerala.<br />

2. Last date of the receipt of the Tender is on 14/02/2012 1 PM and Tenders will be<br />

opened at 4 PM on the same day in the presence of Tenders present, at Office of<br />

the Secretary, Zilla Panchayat, Panchayat Department, Civil Station, Kalpetta,<br />

Wayanad.<br />

3. Tenders should be accompanied by an EMD of 1% of quoted amount by mode of<br />

Demand Draft drawn in favor of Secretary, Zilla Panchayat, Panchayat<br />

Department, Civil Station, Kalpetta North, Wayanad.<br />

4. The sealed cover containing tender should be super scribed “Tender for the Supply<br />

of Bulk Milk Coolers for Dairy Co-Operative Societies and should be addressed to<br />

the Secretary, Zilla Panchayat, Panchayat Department, Civil Station, Kalpetta<br />

North, Wayanad.<br />

5. The Tender should be accompanied by an agreement in Kerala Stamp paper worth<br />

Rs. 100/- only.<br />

6. Late, incomplete tenders and tenders without EMD and agreement in Kerala Stamp<br />

Paper will not be accepted.<br />

7. Firms who are exempted from the payment of EMD should furnish attested copies<br />

of currently valued certificate from Stores Purchase Department Government of<br />

Kerala.<br />

8. The price quoted should be inclusive of packing and forwarding, freight, insurance<br />

loading and unloading, site delivery, taxes like VAT & entry tax etc.<br />

9. The exact specification, details of make, mode, name of manufacturer etc. must be<br />

clearly specified. Copies of the detailed technical literature and illustrated<br />

brochure of equipments quoted also have to be submitted along with the tender.<br />

10. The equipments much have a warranty for minimum of one year from the date of<br />

commissioning.<br />

11. Any litigation regarding the supply of equipments should be subjected to Wayanad<br />

jurisdiction<br />

12. Payment will be made only after effective installation, testing and trial run of the<br />

equipments.<br />

13. The Purchase committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the offers<br />

without assigning any reasons what so ever.<br />

14. The equipments should be supplied to the site within 3 months from the date of<br />

supply order and entire erection and commissioning should be completed within<br />

one months from the delivery of equipments.<br />

15. In case violation of the above said terms, the firm/persons is fully responsible for<br />

all loss sustained to Dairy Co-Operative/ Zilla Panchayat, Wayanad.<br />

16. All the terms & Conditions regarding tender as per the stores and purchase manual<br />

of Govt. of Kerala are applicable for this tender also.<br />

17. The firm period of the tender will be 4 month.<br />
