my whole heart. For all the times you've told me that my life is what I take from it, I
cannot help thinking that you are the one who did this -- who let me live with my whole
heart, every day of my life. And every day of my life, I will be humbled and grateful and
in awe that you love me and that we got to this point. And I promise that nothing is ever
going to make me forget how lucky I am to know you. To quote a thousand songs and
to borrow liberally from other people's poetry, I am yours because you are mine, and that
strikes me as very nearly miraculous.
When she was finished, she gathered the papers into one hand. She drew them to her
and held them lightly against her chest. "Bless their hearts," she said softly.
