CSI members make enrichment kits for Toledo Zoo
The Christian Seniors Interacting (CSI) group enjoyed a presentation by the Toledo Zoo at
its meeting on Tuesday, March 26. Volunteers from the zoo brought materials for CSI members
to make enrichment kits for their “big animals” and birds. CSI members created animal-like
creatures from re-cycled household items. Food was hidden inside them to make
meal-time more challenging for the animals. They also strung popcorn and cheerios for the
zoo’s bird population. After the project, the zoo volunteers introduced a corn snake and a
chinchilla to the group. Above and below: Members work on their projects for the zoo.
