Way Public Library offers programs for homeschoolers Way Public Library will offer the following programs for homeschoolers in September and October. There is still room in the Language Arts Program being held on September 24, at 1:30 p.m., for children ages 8 to 12. Participants will review concepts including parts of speech, punctuation, and capitalization through the use of games. Online registration is currently under way. Mad Scientists Club–will be offered on October 1, for children ages 8 to 12. Participants will make microscopic investigations as they study crystals. Online registration is required. This popular event allows for a formal and informal exchange of information between the Wood County Juvenile Court, schools, and service providers throughout Wood County. Attending the 2012 event were superintendents, principals, and other representatives from school districts across Wood County. School districts represented at the meeting were Bowling Green, Lake, North Baltimore, Northwood, Otsego, Penta Career Center, Perrysburg and Rossford. In addition, Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn and Wood County Prosecutor At- torney Paul Dobson attended and made comments. Representatives from the Wood County Educational Service Center, the Children’s Resource Center, the Wood County Department of Job and Family Services, the Juvenile Residential Center of Northwest Ohio, the Ohio Department of Youth Services and other agencies also were represented. During the meeting, Judge Woessner outlined a variety of new and continuing services and programming available to the schools and service providers through the Wood County Juvenile Court. The meeting also provided an opportunity for formal and informal discussions between court representatives, school representatives, and service providers.
