Volunteer drivers needed<br />
Neighbors helping neighbors in <strong>Perrysburg</strong><br />
When <strong>Perrysburg</strong> public<br />
transportation ended on November<br />
27, a <strong>Perrysburg</strong> resident<br />
learned that a<br />
grandmother raising her<br />
granddaughters had no other<br />
means of transportation for<br />
shopping, medical appointments<br />
or attending church<br />
services.<br />
The resident offered to<br />
help–one neighbor helping<br />
another neighbor. Because of<br />
this neighbor, an additional<br />
nine people have volunteered<br />
to help community neighbors<br />
by providing transportation<br />

the need for volunteers<br />
demonstrates the<br />
long-term need for a small<br />
public transit option.<br />
The committee stated that<br />
the utilization of volunteers is<br />
a temporary fix to a long-term<br />
problem.<br />
Additional volunteers are<br />
being coordinated by <strong>Perrysburg</strong>4Transit<br />
and are needed<br />
during the following time periods:<br />
•7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday<br />
Way Library continues its<br />
free mobile device workshop<br />
series with sessions<br />
devoted to the iPad, Kindle<br />
and Nook. These introductory<br />
workshops are designed<br />
especially to answer patrons’<br />
questions about their<br />
mobile devices, including<br />
operation and how to use<br />
them to get free books, audiobooks,<br />
and movies from<br />
the library.<br />
Admission and refreshments<br />
are free, and registration<br />
is not required.<br />
