Two people die in Rte. 20 accident<br />
Two people have died and<br />
three others were injured after<br />
a collision on U.S. Route 20<br />
and Tracy Road in <strong>Perrysburg</strong><br />
Township last Thursday.<br />
According to the Bowling<br />
Green post of the Ohio Highway<br />
Patrol, the crash occurred<br />
at 5:09 p.m. on Route 20<br />
when a vehicle, driven by<br />
Dustin M. Kominek, 24, of<br />
Toledo, lost control on the<br />
snow covered road.<br />
Mr. Kominek was traveling<br />
eastbound on Route 20<br />
when he apparently lost control<br />
of his vehicle on a snowcovered<br />
section of the road,<br />
explained Lieutenant Jerrod<br />
Savidge.<br />
His car came to rest on the<br />
westbound side side of Route<br />
20 and was subsequently<br />
struck on the passenger side<br />
by a vehicle driven by Melissa<br />
S. Domanowski, 33, of<br />
Toledo.<br />
Killed in the accident was<br />
Mr. Kominek’s wife Rachel<br />
M. Kominek, 26, who was<br />

No children were injured<br />
in a three-vehicle accident involving<br />
a <strong>Perrysburg</strong> School<br />
bus last Thursday.<br />
Three adults suffered<br />
minor injuries in the accident<br />
at State Route 25 and<br />
Williams Road, and they<br />
were transported to St.<br />

Center by LifeFlight, but later<br />

Mr. Kominek, who was<br />
ejected from the vehicle, was<br />
transported to St. Luke’s Hospital<br />
in Maumee by <strong>Perrysburg</strong><br />
Township EMS.<br />
Ms. Domanowski and a<br />
passenger Jillian E. Sheetz,<br />
34, of Oregon, were transported<br />
to St. Charles Hospital<br />
by Troy Township EMS.<br />
Troopers were assisted at<br />
the scene by the <strong>Perrysburg</strong><br />
Township police, fire and<br />
EMS, Troy Township EMS,<br />
LifeFlight, Great Lakes Towing<br />
and Pat & Son’s Towing.<br />
All occupants were wearing<br />
seatbelts at the time of the<br />
crash, except for Mr.<br />
Kominek. Alcohol is not believed<br />
to be a factor in the accident,<br />
which remains under<br />
investigation.<br />
