Founder Wayne Leatherman has received

When founded in 1950 by Mr. Leatherman, Leatherman
& Witzler was originally located in downtown Perrysburg.
In 1966, Mr. Leatherman and Earl Witzler built
an office structure at 353 Elm Street, where the firm still
resides. Mr. Leatherman became Perrysburg’s first municipal
judge in 1960, and remained on the bench until
1973, also maintaining his law practice. During this
time, Don DeCessna was integrated into the firm. Mr.
DeCessna later became a Wood County Common Pleas
Court judge. In 1986, after five years as Assistant Prosecuting
Attorney with the Wood County Prosecuting Attorney’s
Office, Mr. Noll entered the practice, later to
be joined by Mr. Leatherman’s daughter, Ms. Leatherman
Howard, in 1992. After three years as Assistant
Prosecuting Attorney with the Ottawa County Prosecuting
Attorney’s Office, in 2000, Mr. Skaff also joined
Leatherman & Witzler.
