This conference responds to the rapidly growing interest and activity in sustainable
transportation by sharing information on leading-edge environmental
stewardship and sustainability principles and practices. Join us to explore
many of the most important new concepts in the fi eld—including context
sensitive solutions, sustainability for transportation projects, and the complete
street approach to development—practical applications, and case studies.
Conference Highlights
Coordinated sessions with the Institute of Transportation Engineer’s
(ITE) annual technical conference—ITE’s closing plenary and T&DI’s opening
plenary form a two-part symposium on this emerging practice within transportation
engineering. T&DI’s Green Streets and Highway Conference continues
with technical presentations, papers, and posters delivering in-depth, cutting-edge
information on this growing aspect of transportation design and development.
Pre-Conference Field Trip—Tour of the nationally recognized, awardwinning
I-70 Glenwood Canyon project and Vail Pass. (Optional)
Conference Field Trip—The streets of Boulder and the city’s green
streets efforts. (Optional)
Pre- and Post-Conference Professional Development
Workshops—Learning opportunities before and after the conference
to enhance your knowledge of the planning, design, and construction
of green streets and highways.
Technical Sessions—In addition to opening and closing
plenaries, the conference offers seven sets of concurrent
technical sessions.
