At the beginning of 2011, international technology Group ANDRITZ acquired
some assets of the former AE&E Austria GmbH & Co KG. Today the company
operates under the name ANDRITZ Energy & Environment.
ANDRITZ Energy & Environment designs,
manufactures, installs, and services steam
generators (bubbling and circulating fluidized
bed boilers) and air pollution control systems
(flue gas cleaning systems). The company
has more than 150 years’ experience and the
highest levels of technological competence.

The product range covers fluidized bed boilers
(POWERFLUID circulating fluidized bed
boilers and ECOFLUID bubbling fluidized bed
boilers) to generate energy from coal, biomass,
and other biogenic residues and waste.
Liquor recovery boilers include SULFITPOW-
ER and SODEX (sulphite and soda liquors)
for the pulp industry. POWERBLAST boilers
are specifically designed for the steel industry.
Steam generator technology is now part
of ANDRITZ PULP & PAPER’S Recovery and
Power group.

ANDRITZ Energy & Environment’s Air pollution
control technology encompasses a wide
range of emissions control technologies for
power stations, biomass plants, waste-topower
plants, and other industrial applications.
The product portfolio includes wet flue
gas cleaning/desulphurization plants, dry flue
gas cleaning plants, SCR DeNOx plants, and
combined flue gas cleaning technologies.

Notable projects in the recent history include
the world’s largest alternative fuel boiler plant
(Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany), and the turnkey
installation of a flue gas desulphurization
system for the largest thermal power plant in
Romania.
