In presenting this, our first volume of HOLLAND'S DETROIT BUSINESS
UIRECTORY to the busirless men of Detroit, we feel a justifiable pride
in being able to furnish such a reliable and handsome book.
We ask comparison of this, with any of the directories which have
preceded it, and feel confident the result mill be satisfactory. We
think we have improved on the preceding works; and if we have sueceeded
in satisfying our numerous pbtrons and friends, we shall feel
happy to have merited their kind appreciation.
