Richmond, Dec. 12–Miss May Wilson, daughter<br />

of City Collector, C. L. Wilson, and Mr. J. M.<br />

McDowell were married here last night. Miss Wilson<br />

formerly lived in Estill County, and her many friends<br />

extend their best wishes.<br />

WALDEN-BALLARD<br />

At the home of the bride on Cow Creek, Thursday,<br />

Dec. 18th, Miss Polly Ballard, daughter of Ison<br />

Ballard, and Mr. Harlan Walden. The best wishes of<br />

their friends and acquaintances go to them.<br />

MRS. CRAWFORD<br />

Mrs. S. J. Crawford, who has been in failing health<br />

for several months, died at her home on Wagers<br />

Heights early Thursday morning. The family have the<br />

sympathy of many friends in the county. The remains<br />

will be interred in Breathitt county, the former home<br />

of the Crawfords.<br />

CHANEY-STEVENS<br />

Miss Maggie Chaney and Mr. Charlie Stevens, both<br />

of East Irvine, were married at the home of the bride,<br />

Thursday evening, Rev. Wood officiated.<br />

The groom is a son of the late Shipton Stevens. The<br />

young couple are very popular and have many friends<br />

who wish them a long life.<br />
