Recruitment Process<br />

When should I apply?<br />

Applications for off-cycle internships are accepted throughout the year<br />

In London, applications for the 2013 Summer <strong>Internship</strong> Programme are accepted from 1st November to<br />

14th December 2012<br />

In New York, applications for a 2013 Summer <strong>Internship</strong> should be made between March and May<br />

What information should I have ready before applying?<br />

Your resume and a cover letter stating the area you want to work in, why you are a qualified candidate<br />

and your dates of availability<br />

Can I apply to a Summer <strong>Internship</strong> position as well as to the Graduate Programme?<br />

Generally yes, however the summer internship programme is primarily aimed at students who are<br />

entering their final year of study, although exceptional candidates studying in others years or those that<br />

have recently graduated will also be considered<br />

The graduate programme is aimed at those who are already in their final year of study or have<br />

completed their study within the last 12 months<br />

When can I expect to hear back regarding the status of my application?<br />

London – if applying for the Summer <strong>Internship</strong> Progarmme you can expect to hear from us in<br />

January time; if applying for an off-cycle internship we will be in touch after 2-3 weeks if there is<br />

interest in your application<br />

Frankfurt - will be in touch after 2-3 weeks if there is interest in you application<br />

New York and Asia will be in touch if there is interest in your application<br />

How can I be part of the internship recruiting process if I am studying abroad?<br />

You can still submit your application online and a phone interview will be conducted

General Requirements<br />

Do I have to speak German?<br />

Generally for roles in Frankfurt you are required to speak German, however in some business areas only<br />

a basic knowledge is required; for all other locations, German is generally not necessary however is considered<br />

to be advantageous<br />

Additional languages (for example, French, Italian and Spanish) are of benefit in all locations<br />

Do I have to speak English?<br />

Fluent English is required in all locations<br />

Do I need relevant work experience to apply?<br />

Not necessarily, however previous internships within banking are advantageous<br />

<strong>Internship</strong> Programmes<br />

When do internships run to and from?<br />

Off-cycle internships are generally offered throughout the year in London, Frankfurt, New York and Asia<br />

A Summer <strong>Internship</strong> Programme is offered in London starting on the 1st July 2013 for a period of 8-10<br />

weeks. Summer internships are also offered within New York, starting in June/July time<br />

Which business areas offer internships?<br />

Generally all areas within C&M, however this varies year to year; In London, <strong>Internship</strong>s are also<br />

available within other areas<br />

How many internship positions do you offer?<br />

This varies from year to year
