Commerzbank Corporates & Markets (<strong>CBCM</strong>) <strong>Strengthens</strong> Credit<br />

Trading <strong>and</strong> <strong>hires</strong> <strong>Inga</strong> <strong>Johal</strong> <strong>as</strong> <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> Emerging Markets Trading<br />

Commerzbank Corporates & Markets (<strong>CBCM</strong>) h<strong>as</strong> today announced that it h<strong>as</strong> hired <strong>Inga</strong> <strong>Johal</strong> <strong>as</strong> <strong>Head</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> Emerging Markets Trading.<br />

Building on <strong>CBCM</strong>’s strong structured products platform in Germany, <strong>and</strong> its client b<strong>as</strong>e in Western <strong>and</strong><br />

E<strong>as</strong>tern Europe, <strong>Johal</strong> will focus on the integration <strong>of</strong> <strong>CBCM</strong>’s Credit <strong>and</strong> Emerging Markets Trading<br />

activities. His responsibilities will span across external debt, local markets, credit repo <strong>and</strong> leverage<br />

products globally with special focus on E<strong>as</strong>tern Europe, Middle E<strong>as</strong>t <strong>and</strong> Asia. <strong>Johal</strong> will ensure a coordinated<br />

<strong>and</strong> focused approach cross <strong>CBCM</strong>’s global trading operations. This will allow the business to<br />

further diversify <strong>CBCM</strong>’s EM product <strong>of</strong>fering.<br />

<strong>Johal</strong> will be b<strong>as</strong>ed in London <strong>and</strong> report to Eckhard Arndt, <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> Credit Markets at <strong>CBCM</strong>. He joins<br />

<strong>CBCM</strong> from St<strong>and</strong>ard Bank London Ltd where he w<strong>as</strong> Global <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> Trading within the Global Markets<br />

operation, responsible for both sovereign <strong>and</strong> corporate credits. <strong>Inga</strong> began his career at St<strong>and</strong>ard Bank<br />

in 1995 where he worked in a number <strong>of</strong> roles including Senior Emerging Markets Dealer <strong>and</strong> <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

EM Trading.<br />

Willi Ufer, <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> Markets at <strong>CBCM</strong> said "I am delighted that <strong>Inga</strong> h<strong>as</strong> joined us. <strong>CBCM</strong> is developing an<br />

Emerging Markets <strong>and</strong> Asia, his role will be pivotal in driving our credit trading operations in these regions<br />
