Conventions Using This Manual<br />

Conventions<br />

Chapter 2, “pHILE+ <strong>System</strong> <strong>Calls</strong>,” provides detailed information on each system<br />

call in the pHILE+ component of <strong>pSO<strong>System</strong></strong>.<br />

Chapter 3, “pREPC+ <strong>System</strong> <strong>Calls</strong>,” provides detailed information on each system<br />

call in the pREPC+ component of <strong>pSO<strong>System</strong></strong>.<br />

Chapter 4, “pNA+ <strong>System</strong> <strong>Calls</strong>,” provides detailed information on each system call<br />

in the pNA+ component of <strong>pSO<strong>System</strong></strong>.<br />

Chapter 5, “pRPC+ <strong>System</strong> <strong>Calls</strong>,” provides detailed information on each system call<br />

in the pRPC+ component of <strong>pSO<strong>System</strong></strong>.<br />

Chapter 6, “pROBE+ and ESp <strong>System</strong> <strong>Calls</strong>,” provides detailed information on the<br />

system calls supported by the pROBE+ target debugger/analyzer and the ESp<br />

cross-system visual analyzer.<br />

Appendix A, “Tables of <strong>System</strong> <strong>Calls</strong>,” provides a short description of each <strong>pSO<strong>System</strong></strong><br />

system call with a reference to the pages that contain detailed information on<br />

the call.<br />

Appendix B, “Error Codes,” provides a listing of all error codes returned by <strong>pSO<strong>System</strong></strong><br />

system calls.<br />

This section describes the conventions used in this manual.<br />

Font Conventions<br />

Fonts other than the standard text default font are used as follows:<br />

Courier Courier is used for command and function names, file<br />

names, directory paths, environment variables, messages and<br />

other system output, code and program examples, system<br />

calls, and syntax examples.<br />

bold Courier User input (anything you are expected to type in) is set in bold<br />

Courier.<br />
