Amy E. Unell, a native of Kansas City, KS, was an Emmy ® -nominated
producer for NBC’s Today Show based out of the NBC News Los Angeles
bureau for more than six years. A graduate of Duke University, where
she was a student in Coach Al Buehler’s class, she was 2009-2010 Media
Fellow at Duke’s DeWitt Wallace Center for Media and Democracy at the
Sanford School of Public Policy. She is the director and producer of the
documentary Starting at the Finish Line: The Coach Buehler Story, which
premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2011. She lives in Los Angeles.
