View All Button Change Button Remove Button The View All window lists all the resources reserved in your system. These resources are grouped by type and displayed in four boxes — input/output Range (I/O), interrupt (IRQ), Direct Memory Access channel (DMA), and 32-bit memory range (Mem). The Change window displays the current resources that have been reserved for a selected legacy card. You can also change any of the resources as well as the card’s name here. Be very careful when you add or change resource information for a legacy card. Verify all the hardware settings of the legacy cards in your system. Filling in incorrect data may reserve resources which will not be used by any device! Clicking this button in the Legacy window removes a selected card’s settings. System Devices Section You can use this section to view but not change the resource settings of the system devices in your computer. When you select the System Devices section from the CTCU menu, the System Device Resources window appears, listing all the resources used by your system devices. Adding a CD-ROM Drive You can daisy-chain another CD-ROM drive to your computer by connecting the drives with a data cable (see Figure B-3). You can connect two IDE CD-ROM drives to an IDE port. If your second drive is not a Creative IDE CD-ROM drive, consult the documentation for the second drive before connecting the two CD-ROM drives. You must set one of the two drives connected to the IDE port as a master and the other as a slave. The master/slave assignment is made by configuring the jumper block at the back of the CD-ROM drives—the factory default for the Creative IDE CD-ROM drive is for a slave (see Figure B-2).
