Steps taken for ensuring scientific basis for computation of T&D losses > Options & Incentives for metering agricultural load > Role in payment of subsidies The KERC has taken efforts to direct KPTCL in the metering programme, concentrating especially on the agricultural customers. There is also an effort to control losses through an energy audit and metering programme. However KPTCL has not been in a position to achieve all the targets given to them. The following initiatives have been taken for metering of agricultural load: $ Agri. consumers can pay the lower of flat rates or metered rates.
