There were a number of challenges in performing the CEBAF-ER experiment.<br />

Despite these obstacles, however, the experiment was an important step in pushing<br />

the limits of ERL performance. Prior to CEBAF-ER, the highest energy beam to be<br />

energy recovered in an SRF environment was 48 MeV through a single cryomodule.<br />
