SANDSTONE: greenish-grey, muddy with laminae silty<br />

mudstone, mostly above 39.69 and below 43.90, but<br />

wispy mudstone throughout and several thin beds spotted<br />

mudstone, below 44.61. Bedding 70'. Network fractures<br />

with chlorite to 39.10 and at intervals to 42.80. Breccia<br />

at 41.03. Minor quartz-chlorite, epidote veins. Pyrite<br />

disseminated and in fractures moderately abundant,<br />

locally rich associated with epidotisation. Chalcopyrite<br />

in quartz veinlet 43.00<br />

QU ARTZ-MICRODIORITE, porphyritic: dark greenish-grey,<br />

abundant 2 mm plagioclase phenoerysts, fewer amphibole.<br />

Chilled contacts approx 80°. Carbonate veinlets and<br />

alterations<br />

SANDSTONE: as above. Magnetite bearing laminae<br />

at 49.51; sparse silty mudstone between 49.51-54.10.<br />

Pyrite in veinle ts, disseminated and in nodules moderately<br />

abundant to 47.85 and 54.80-55.33. Local concentrations<br />

only between. Network fractures with chlorite at<br />

intervals 52.45-55.14<br />

A RKOSE: coarse-grained, dark grey, graded bed.<br />

Plentiful pyrite below 55.74<br />

SANDSTONE: grey with muddy laminae<br />

SANDSTONE, quartzose: medium-grained massive,<br />

graded beds. Intrusion breccia at 56.66. Abundant<br />

disseminated pyrite, some in fractures<br />

ARKOSE: as above. Pyrite<br />

SANDSTONE, quartzose: as above. Network fractures,<br />

mostly pyritic at base<br />

SANDSTONE: fine, grey, muddy, laminated to thickly<br />

bedded. Abundant silty mudstone laminae 57.62-58.81<br />

and 62.30-66.00, 69.35-69.58, 70.13-81.30 with spotted<br />

mudstone and tuff itic mudstone beds. Magnetite sand<br />

laminae at 82.16. Bedding 70'. Chlorite veinlets<br />

fairly common. Epidotisation only between 57.49-57.57,<br />

74.04-74.32. Breccias 57.89-57.99, 66.19, 66.42,<br />

66.45, 70.27-70.57 and narrow zones to 81.78. Pyrite<br />

disseminated, veinlets and fractures locally abundant,<br />

especially in breccia zones with chlorite to 62.30,<br />

66.95-69.35 and 70.27-82.12<br />

ARKOSE: as above. Pyrite moderately abundant.<br />

Intrusion breccia 82.35<br />

MICROTONALITE, porphyritic: chilled upper contact<br />

90'. Pyrite in fractures with chlorite, calcite<br />

SANDSTONE: as above. Breccia 87.44-87.55. Pyrite<br />

in fractures<br />

MICROTONALITE, porphyritic: as above. Intrusion<br />

breccias 88.64, 91.98, 95.66-95.81. Network fractures<br />

with abundant pyrite 92.60 to base. Quartz, epidote,<br />

calcite veining minor
