CLAY WITH PEBBLES: buff, structureless sandy clay<br />

with subangular pebbles to 0.83; horizontal streaky<br />

lamination and increased silt content below<br />

CLAY: thinly laminated brown clay and silty clay<br />

with rare pebbles passes down into massive clay.<br />

Below 2.00 regular alternation, brown clay 2-5 mm,<br />

blotchy greyish-orange sandy feldspathic clay 0.5-2.0 cm<br />

GRAVEL: interbedded with lithic sand<br />

FELDSPAR SAND AND CLAY: regularly interbedded clay and<br />

feldspathic sandy clay as above to 3.50; irregular below<br />

Downward increase in feldspar content. Clay bed 0.37 m<br />

thick at 4.33. Rotted diorite pebble gravel beds<br />

ACID LAVA: porphyritic with feupar 3 mm, smaller<br />

quartz phenocrysts in greenish-ey finewained<br />

groundmass, Feldspar orientation 20" to 35' below<br />
