STUDENT SERVICES VILLAGE RM 119<br />
EOP&S is a state-funded program for nontraditional<br />
students who are affected by educational and<br />
economic barriers. The program motivates students<br />
in reaching their career and educational goals by<br />
providing support services and encouragement.<br />
EOP&S provides the following services: intensive<br />
academic, career and personal counseling,<br />
individualized and in-class tutoring, priority<br />
registration, transfer assistance, educational<br />
workshops, and book vouchers.<br />

STUDENT SERVICES VILLAGE RM 119<br />
Contained within EOP&S is a program called CARE, a<br />
support service program for single parents receiving<br />
TANF/CalWORKs subsidies.<br />
CARE students are eligible for all EOP&S suport<br />
includes childcare referrals, meal tickets, parking<br />
permits, auto gas card, parenting and job preparation<br />
seminars. CARE offers personal and professional<br />
support while assisting participants in breaking the<br />
welfare dependency cycle. Bring your registration fee<br />
receipt showing 12 or more units to the Student Suport<br />
Complex to find out if you qualify. OSS students must<br />
be enrolled in 6 or more units to apply.<br />

Financial assistance -- including: grants, work study,<br />
loans and enrollment fee waivers -- is available to<br />
assist students with meeting college expenses.<br />
An automatic Board of Governors Enrollment Fee Waiver<br />
will be processed for qualifying students who have completed<br />
a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).<br />

LIFE SCIENCE RM 101<br />
The Health Center serves currently enrolled students.<br />
It offers basic primary and non-emergency care,<br />
health care counseling, emotional and behavioral<br />
counseling, family planning, referrals, TB skin test,<br />
and other laboratory tests and immunizations, some<br />
of which carry additional fees. Appointments can<br />
be made to see a medical provider or mental health<br />
professional.<br />
