Assessment Office
(pLACEMENT TESTING)
(323) 953-4000 ExT. 2264 - AD 103
Appointments for placement testing, orientation,
and counseling are made at the Assessment
Center.
The Assessment Center provides basic skills
assessment in reading, writing, language usage, and
mathematics to new students. This is not an entrance
exam. The student is not penalized in any way for his
or her scores. New students should visit the Assessment
Center as soon as they have completed their
applications. Any delay could prevent enrollment in
courses. Students with degrees are exempt from
assessment unless they need to satisfy prerequisites.
New students are encouraged to attend an orientation
session. Placement results are requried to make an
appointment for orientation.
ASSOCIATED STUDENT
ORGANIzATION
(323) 953-4000 ExT. 2475 - Cub Center
The Associated Student Organization (ASO)
represents student concerns and is the official
student voice on college committees. The ASO
officers advocate for all students on college,
district and state-wide issues. Participation in
ASO offers students leadership opportunities
and a variety of involvement experiences. All
student clubs must be chartered by the ASO to
be allowed on campus.
