<strong>2012</strong>-13: Students pursuing the Bachelor’s Degree from a California State University shall complete a pattern of General Education<br />

Courses. A student may complete 39 units of the General Education pattern at the community college. Students who are<br />

certified with 39 semester units of lower division General Education-Breadth courses will be required to complete a minimum of 9<br />

semester units of upper division General Education work after transfer. Courses to be used for Area A and B3 (Mathematics) must<br />

be completed with a “C” grade or better.<br />

The California State University assigns a high priority to California community college transfer students who have completed the first two years of the<br />

baccalaureate programs (60-70 units). Students transferring with the 60-unit minimum enter at junior level standing and may begin their upper division work<br />

if all prerequisites have been completed.<br />
