ADVISORY: English 28 and 67 or equivalent. DESCRIPTIONS: Open to all students. Required of all Spanish Majors; recommended for<br />
all Spanish students. Lectures and discussions in English.The student learns the history, cultures, traditions and arts of Spain.<br />
Beginning with prehistory and progressing through the different epochs to the present day, an overview of the identity of Spain and<br />
its peoples will be the focus. Furthermore, comparisons to the histories and cultures of other European countries will clarify Spain's<br />
similarities to them as wll as highlight its stark uniqueness. The course is taught in English.<br />
