PREREQUISITE: Law/Paralegal 10 and English 101 with satisfactory grades or<br />
equivalent. DESCRIPTION: This course is an introduction to Real Property Law Practice.<br />
Topics include property rights, types of land ownership, agreement for sale, financing,<br />
conveyancing, settlement procedures, recording and post-closing matters in residential<br />
and commercial real estate. This course will also cover real estate leasing agreements.<br />
Additionally, ethical issues will be discussed.<br />

The student examines the federal, state, and local laws that most directly affect mass<br />
communication in the United States, focusing on: a basic understanding of the American<br />
legal system, its institutions, and some of its terminology; a broad understanding of<br />
First Amendment principles as they relate to mass communication; and a working<br />
knowledge ofthe laws that directly restrict or enhance information gathering and<br />
message dissemination in the mass media, and an understanding of the rationales<br />
behind those laws.<br />

(nutrition vocabulary) food choices: nutrition tools and standards; the human body and<br />
nutrition; carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins; vitamins, water and minerals; energy,<br />
balance and body weight; nutrients, physical activity and the body’s responses; diet<br />
and health; nutrition for the mother and infant; nutrition for the child, the teen, and the<br />
older adult; and hunger and the global environment. Depending upon the diagnostic<br />
assessment, students will be placed in an appropriate program. Students may enroll<br />
through the twelfth week of the semester. This course is open to all students. Grades<br />
