MUSICAL KEYBOARDING FOR CHILDREN (Ages 6 and up)<br />
Children will learn the correct fundamentals in playing the piano: Topics covered: Development in finger<br />
coordination, critical sense of listening; notations in pitch and rhythm; discipline in good practice habits with<br />
an appreciation of music through the piano as well as basic written theory. Solo-ensemble repertoire will also<br />
be introduced. Intermediate requires: Basic knowledge of music note reading. Intermediate students will<br />
choose sheet music comparable to their level. Limited to only 12 students.<br />

PHOTOSHOP FOR KIDS (Ages 9-15)<br />
Learn how professionals put together the pictures you see in books, magazines, and the<br />
internet. We’ll show you how your creative mind can get started using the principles of<br />
graphic design using Adobe Photoshop. You will learn the concepts of shapes, lines,<br />
color combinations, and just having fun with it. We’ll guide you through every step to<br />
get you to create some cool art.<br />

READING<br />
This class will cover various levels of reading phonics, vocabulary, & composition skills.<br />
Students will have the opportunity to sharpen their presentation and reading skills by<br />
reading aloud to the class. Homework assignments will be given. Children are welcome to<br />
bring their school books and classroom questions.<br />

This class will assist and help students improve on their writing, comprehension, grammar and vocabulary<br />
skills. This class will also concentrate on specific problem area’s students are having with classroom<br />
assignments and homework. Students will also grasp the newest education writing formats. Homework<br />
assignments will be given. Children are welcome to bring their school books and classroom writing questions.<br />
Please bring pencil and wring tablet. Material fee of $8 payable at time of registration.<br />

SPANISH FOR KIDS (Ages 17 and under)<br />
An introductory class open to young people who want to learn the basic fundamentals of reading, writing and<br />
speaking Spanish. In addition to providing the practice needed to aid retention, this class will also provide<br />
the opportunity to develop a higher level of thinking skills as it aims at teaching how to use the language<br />
creatively. Students will be using a syllabus covering topics appropriate to their age and interest. Study<br />
materials will be provided at no extra cost. Emphasis will be placed on grammar, pronunciation and<br />
conversational exercises. Students must have email/Internet access to download handouts. No class July 4.<br />

Lights, Camera, Action! This summer, learn the ins and outs of iMovie and how to make a<br />
film in about the time it takes to watch one. Add your own videos, pictures, sound<br />
effects, quickly and easily! Then add cool visual effects and transition to make your next<br />
movie masterpiece—all with a click, a drag and a creative mind. Join this fun-filled class<br />
where kids become filmmakers. Mac computers will be used. Limited enrollment.<br />

FRENCH FOR KIDS & TEENS (Ages 7-16)<br />
French is a fun language spoken around the world. Students will partake in a wide range of activities from<br />
pronunciation of the alphabet, numbers, colors, days, weeks, and months to useful conversations that will<br />
increase vocabulary and promote a cultural interest. Material fee of $22 payable at time of registration is<br />
for cost of book, CD and handouts. Book title is: Collins French Club: Book 1, by Rosi McNab - ISBN-13-<br />
9780007287567. Material fee is $5 only if you have already purchased the audio CD/book set. Parents are<br />
encouraged to join their child in the classroom and participate with the French lessons.<br />
