SAT & ACT PREPARATION | Help your child to get a higher test score!<br />
The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and ACT (American <strong>College</strong> Testing) is<br />
inevitable for all high school students planning to apply to a 4 year<br />
college/university. With careful preparation students will walk through SAT/ACT<br />
reasoning and inference practice analogies: grammar, science reasoning critical<br />
thinking, & higher mathematic applications. Students will also cover/study the<br />
new essay-writing portion of the GED test through practice preparation. In<br />
addition, participants will discover valuable test taking strategies/secrets about answering questions.<br />
Included will be a practice examination and an assessment.<br />
Bring these books to class: 1. Kaplan S.A.T. 2012: Strategies, Practice & Review. 2. McGraw-Hill’s ACT<br />

Students will learn how to apply to colleges and universities, both public & private, acquire and fill out<br />
appropriate forms for admission, write a personal statement, find and apply for scholarships and grants,<br />
learn about Advanced Placement classes, learn the difference between SAT, ACT and the PSAT, prepare for<br />
the college of your choice as early as the seventh grade.<br />
Students are required to have internet access at home and a valid email address.<br />

Fun with ABC’s is for the very young student. Reading will be promoted through an introduction of phonics<br />

will pay off when they enter college and the business world. Students are encouraged to repeat if more<br />
practice or speedier progress is desired. Limited to only 9 students.<br />

creativity and imagination to this workshop and learn how to program with Scratch AND<br />
have fun, too! Limited to only 9 students. All students in full attendance will be given<br />

possibilities of creating your own game levels, adventures, and lots more – all without<br />
knowing a bit of complicated codes. If you can point and click a mouse, then you’re on<br />
your way to creating your very own video game. Optional: You may bring your Xbox<br />
