JUDO
This is an introductory (beginner’s) course mixed with
intermediate students. Basic judo skills include
throwing, groundwork (grappling),
strangulation escapes and arm locks.
Women and men participate in a coeducational
setting with emphasis
on learning judo for self-defense,
tournament competition, physical
fitness and fun. This course is
recreational in nature and students
can be any age from teenagers to senior citizens.
Wear sweat pants & shirt or judo uniform to class. All
are welcome to join!

CONFIGURATION & TROUBLESHOOTING

viruses?” Build up your skills
in learning the ins and outs
of your computer and see
how everything works in that
electronic box. You’ll get hands-on
dissecting hardware and no longer be unfamiliar with
optical drives, USB ports, hard drives, and more.
Learn about the software that runs on your computer
and what steps you can take to keep it up-to-date and
virus free.

POTTERY MAKING
Students will learn the
basics of throwing on a
potter’s wheel. Simple
forms such as cylinders,
cups, and bowls will be
emphasized. Learn
centering, pulling, and
trimming. Classes will
explore a variety of hand-building techniques including
clay slab, pinch pots, coiling, molds, and glazing.
Create all kinds of forms – you’re only limited by your
imagination in hand building. Wear old clothes, and to
bring an old towel and apron. Material fee of $35
payable at first meeting. Held off-campus. Limited to
only 6 students.

FLORAL DESIGN I
Learn how to make sophisticated arrange beautiful
fresh flower arrangements for
those special occasions. This
hands-on workshop allows you
to make your own masterpieces
and express your own artistic
talents. You will take home a
new floral arrangement from
each workshop. Material fee of
$40 payable at time of
registration. Material fee pays
for fresh flowers instructor will provide at each class
meeting to complete all class projects. Bring wire
cutters, small knife and newspapers. See Floral
Design levels II and III on pages 25-26.
