PAINTING & WATERCOLORS<br />
Do you like to watercolor or have a passion for painting? Welcome to all who appreciate and<br />
enjoy this classic and contemporary art forum. This class will get you started in basic<br />
painting acrylic/oils and watercolors brush stroke techniques with emphasis on<br />
understanding/experiencing color composition, value and design impact. Also learn mixing<br />
colors, differing paint qualities, application, and use of brushes. All are welcome! Bring<br />
basic watercolor set, pad of watercolor paper, brushes and pencil to 1st meeting. Please make sure at<br />
least one of your brushes is high grade and excellent quality. Instructor works for Disneyland as an artist<br />
and has showcased his works at art galleries throughout the U.S.A.<br />

Learn how to draw your favorite action Heroes and Villains like Spiderman, Spawn, Green,<br />
Lantern, Star Wars, Wonder Women, or even the Simpsons. You can even invent your own<br />
cartoon characters! This class will teach you important steps & secret artist tips you need to<br />
create & bring your cartoon to animation life. If you always wanted to become a cartoon<br />
super-action hero artist or comic Villain artist, this class will greatly assist you. Ages 12+<br />

JEWELRY MAKING<br />
BASIC BEADED JEWELRY<br />
Come learn how to make stunning beaded bracelets and earrings using basic techniques (no<br />
soldering). You will be using flex wire, eye pins, headpins, crimp beads, semi-precious<br />
stones, pearls, crystals, and glass beads. Bring round nose pliers, wire cutter, and chain<br />
nose pliers.<br />
Material fee of $18 payable at time of registration covers materials needed to complete projects.<br />

GLASS FUSION<br />
Learn how to create fused tiles or jewelry from glass. No prior glass experience is necessary. You’ll learn how<br />
to work with glass, assemble and decorate it using different colors of glass on top of each other. Your pieces<br />
will then be melted in a kiln to create magnificent artwork. Material fee of $30 payable at first meeting<br />
covers all materials needed for class projects. Limited to only 8 students. Class held off campus near LACC<br />

BLOW GLASS GLOBES<br />
Glaskolben, as they’re known in Germany, make beautiful ornaments or sun catchers that reflect the light.<br />
You’ll learn how to blow your own glass globes, using different colors of glass and varying designs creating<br />
elegant beautiful various shapes. This is a great idea for the holidays and any other time of the year. Material<br />
fee of $35 payable at first meeting covers supplies to make up to 14 globes. Limited to only 8 students.<br />

POTTERY MAKING<br />
Students will learn the basics of throwing on a potter’s wheel. Simple forms such as cylinders, cups, and<br />
bowls will be emphasized. Learn centering, pulling, and trimming. Classes will explore a variety of hand<br />
building techniques including clay slab, pinch pots, coiling, molds, and glazing. Create all kinds of forms –<br />
you’re only limited by your imagination in hand building. Wear old clothes, and to bring an old towel and<br />
apron. Material fee of $35 payable at first meeting. Held off-campus. Limited to only 8 students.<br />
