CANDLE MAKING<br />
Candles are a beautiful addition to your home décor and make wonderful welcome gifts.<br />
This candle-making workshop will cover the basic techniques for making both molded and<br />
container candles. Each student will make and take home a colorful chunk candle, a<br />
floating candle and a novelty gel candle. Handouts with instructions, tips and techniques<br />
will be provided. Wear old clothes & closed-toe shoes (no sandals please).<br />
Material fee of $15 payable at time of registration - covers all materials needed to<br />
complete projects. Please be on time, there will be no class make-up.<br />

IKEBANA: JAPANESE ART OF FLOWER ARRANGEMENT<br />
Elegance, grace and style are three characteristics of the art of Ikebana. In this beginning workshop you will<br />
learn the manipulation and the observation of materials, as they are best used to gain the objectives<br />
expressed in the Oriental view of flower arranging following the curriculum of the OHARA Japanese Art of<br />
Flower Arranging. Bring florist scissors, low-bowl vase/flower needle holder. This popular class always fills<br />
up fast so register early! Material fee of $25 payable at time of registration.<br />

NATURAL BATH & BEAUTY PRODUCTS<br />
Learn how is it is to make skin care and cleansing products that are good for you and good for the<br />
environment. We will use all natural ingredients to make bath salts, fizzies, body scrub, body butter and<br />
massage oils. Tips on storing, packaging and purchasing ingredients will be covered, plus you will take home<br />
samples of everything you make in this hands-on workshop. Students must be on time to complete all Natural<br />
Bath & Beauty Products projects.<br />
Material fee of $20 payable in at time of registration covers all materials needed to complete class projects.<br />

STAINED GLASS<br />
While making a flat panel or window about 10x14 inches students will learn basic cutting,<br />
grinding and assembling, creating a beautiful piece of art work. We have various patterns to<br />
choose from. Material fee of $15 payable at first meeting for the tools and supplies. Glass is<br />
additional, typically $20-25, and may be purchased from instructor on the first day of class.<br />
Held off-campus near LACC. Limited to only 8 students.<br />

Custom-made soaps are perfect for gifts, bathroom décor, and people with sensitive skin.<br />
You will create many kinds of soaps while learning how to layer colors, use molds and add<br />
fragrances, herbs and toys. Express your creativity and join the fun!<br />
Material fee of $18 payable at time of registration - covers all materials needed to<br />
complete the projects. Students must be on time to complete all Glycerin Soap<br />
projects.<br />

FLORAL DESIGN I<br />
Learn how to make sophisticated arrange beautiful fresh flower arrangements for those special occasions.<br />
This hands-on workshop allows you to make your own masterpieces and express your own artistic talents. You<br />
will take home a new floral arrangement from each workshop. Material fee of $40 payable at time of<br />
registration. Material fee pays for fresh flowers instructor will provide at each class meeting to complete all<br />
class projects. Bring wire cutters, small knife and newspapers.<br />
